you may be building companies but are you building courage, character, and capability to act decisively in the face of crisis
as much as personal safety and security is the state's responsibility, never forget to build and exercise your sovereign capability to secure yourself, loved ones, and those around you

the capacity for violence and savagery is not the evil you need to be wary of, as much as the incapacity to be powerful and potent in the face of latent evil hiding in the hearts of men

career and life update:

for the last 5 years, I ran @spacekayak as one of the great creative experiments of my life. I could be nothing but proud of what we built as a team, a studio, and a partner to 200+ founders. we lived the whole arc with them, through raise, exit, and everything in between. we touched practically every major industry, building new creative expertise, experiences or learning a thing or two along the way.

spacekayak was always a vehicle for young creatives to experiment and kickstart their careers. I got to work with nearly 80 of them and build transformational stories together. This is the part I am most grateful for.

3 years ago we pushed our new branding with the tagline "imagining new frontiers." the experiment has reached its fruition. the frontier has arrived. the world I see today looks different from the one I imagined 5 years ago: new world, new practices, new tools, new ways for humans to coordinate, and above all a clearer idea of what cult leadership/ company looks like in 2026.

we are sunsetting the practice on dec 31st.

we are a small team signing the last accord of projects and collabs. In october alone we worked with 3 YC companies. If you want to work with the creatives on our team as we transition out, reach out.

thank you to every founder who trusted us with their story before anyone else believed it. thank you to every creative who walked through our doors and made the studio what it was. thank you to our partners and mentors who showed up for us again and again.

and @0xsb_ you were the first to say yes when spacekayak was just an idea and without a name. you built this with me, every brief, every late night, every founder we fought for. there is no spacekayak without you. thank you, brother.

for now, a beautiful chapter of my life comes to an end.

@sanctuaryparc stays open. for the next decade, it will be infrastructure for society, a pod in koramangala for anyone daring enough to start, create, or think, and imagine better futures. i have put my life’s savings into it and i will keep funding it. If you are interested in partnership here, DM me.

nodi sir 👀
PSA: Find your voter status (in Bangalore) easily. Pls RT.

Final SIR data is out!

But it's all a myriad of PDFs to comb through, captchas, slow sites, and changed part numbers so it is hard to find out your status as a voter!

Over 4 days, I painstakingly reverse engineered the 000+ PDFs (over 100GB), OCR'ed them, converted to structured data, and then setup sir-bangalore.shantanugoel.com so you can search for your status through name, voter id, house number etc in an instant without any captcha.

the most successful business to come out of business schools might be business schools themselves.
"I Teach at a Business School, It's Time to Shut Them Down" says Prof Chris Marquis from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.

I agree entirely and have been saying this for 2 decades. India would do well to close down business schools and focus on startup ge scale startup formation and a lot of experimentation.

We are closer than ever to curing cancer. Kudos to @PopVaxIndia for putting 🇮🇳 on the map through their frontier work.

As if the work weren't enough, what sets @sohamsankaran apart is a candour that cuts through all the corporate-speak. Indian deep tech couldn’t have asked for a better spokesperson.

First in my bloodline to use a quantum computer

It's easier than you think:
> Create an account at @IBM Quantum Platform
> Create an Open Plan instance and copy its CRN
> Generate an API key from the dashboard and keep it private.
> Install Qiskit and IBM’s runtime package: pip install qisk=0.50.0".
> Build your circuit in Python, connect using your API key and CRN, and select a real quantum computer.
> Submit your circuit, track it under Workloads, and retrieve the measurement results when it finishes

Launching Junction: come speed-run the semiconductor tech tree this December in Bangalore.

We’re flying in students from all over India 🇮🇳 to a 2-week fabrication retreat at @_lagrangepoint to build equipment, design chips and engineer processes, with our friends at still needs thousands of semicon engineers -- the ecosystem to produce them isn’t mature enough yet -- we're changing that.

Current applicants have built vacuum chambers to study plasma physics, RISC-V processors from scratch, scanning tunneling microscopes, et cetera

At junction you will:

1. Propose a project
2. Figure out a plan with the Junction team.
3. Iterate fast towards a working prototype, with help from the Junction team
4. Be mentored by top semiconductor hackers and specialists.
5. Demo to industry leaders, founders, investors, and your fellow craftspeople

Flights, accommodation and project expenses? All covered. Apply on the link below

Andhra Pradesh Chainsaw Horror

Class Teacher at Raptadu Zilla Parishad School who witnessed the whole incident kept breaking down while speaking with the media.

She said she was in shock and stayed immobile for a while. Everything is hazy and according to her, there was too pt running & absolute chaos.

If this is the state of a teacher, can’t imagine the trauma the classmates of the victims will go through for the rest of their lives…!!!

And can’t even think of the trauma of the victims and their families.

21 year old Hemanth who happens to be uncle of the 14 year old victim Gopika got enraged after she rejected his “love” proposal.

He attacked her with a chainsaw in her classroom. Another girl also was grievously injured.

Both victims are hospitalized and are in critical condition. Gopika is battling for her life. 🙏🏽

Hemanth, was caught by the police hours after the incident and has zero remorse or regret. According to the reports, he is an orphan and was raised by his aunt.

PS: One of the professional hazard we journalists face is having to witness / watch unedited footage of such horrific incidents. It disturbs us and scares us. And most of us don’t like to share those horrific imagery with the rest of the world…because very little good can come out of it.

There are many who share unedited footage too. Since morning the incident’s images are being shared as if it is an achievement. Please do the world a favour and stop circulating such horrific unedited footage 🙏🏽

I wholeheartedly support the idea of the mock parliament. Hell, do away with the real one too. It's a godawful waste of tax money where nothing of worth is ever said. It's an extremey expensive Bigg Boss episode.

> then the Indian came along... law-abiding, high-earning, family-oriented, legal, english-speaking, no terrorism or illiberal attitude
I have finally cracked the mystery of Indian hate.

For decades, conversations about race in America have gone like this. Liberals accuse conservatives of being racists, conservatives respond that they have non-racist reasons for their opinions.

"No, I don't hate Mexicans, it's about the rule of law."

"No, having more police isn't racist, in fact it helps black people the most."

You can make an arguable case in each instance that conservatives had a point. This was our dialectic.

Then the Indian came along. He's everything that conservatives have ever said they wanted in an immigrant: law-abiding, high-earning, family-oriented, legal, English-speaking, no terrorism or illiberal attitude.

Here was an ultimate test that would show whether conservative opinions were ever based in reason.

Conservatives not only failed to embrace Indians. They reacted with a fury to their existence that made all their previous prejudices look mundane.

Imagine a woman who is attracted to toxic men but says she wants a nice guy. When she gets a nice guy who checks all the boxes, she hates him more than anyone else because he exposes her as engaging in self-delusion. His existence attacks her very identity.

That's conservatives and Indians.

The right wanted to believe that they had a political ideology that could appeal to smart, decent people. The conservative intellectual was always reverse engineering justifications to flatter the prejudices of chuds. Again, on most issues there was a plausibility to the arguments being made.

Indians have exposed how fake the entire thing was. Conservative politics on a mass scale was rooted in stupidity and racism the whole time. Political scientists knew this already, but it's now become too glaringly obvious to deny, even for uninformed rightists themselves. There is nothing left for conservatives to do but give up on reason and embrace racial hate as their organizing principle.

We should thank Indian immigrants, among all the other things they do, for providing this clarity. richardhanania.com/p/conservative…
