Oxford researchers argue that LLMs can never invent anything.
It is mathematically impossible.
They published a paper called “Theory Is All You Need" and it argues against the claim that computational models can generate genuine novelty or new knowledge.
They analyzed the , and the results are a brutal reality check for the idea that ai will replace human decision making under uncertainty.
Here is why AI is stuck and human cognition wins:
backward-looking vs forward-looking.. llms are probability machines that look backward at existing data. human cognition is forward-looking and capable of generating genuine novelty. human cognition operates theoretically "top-down" rather than "bottom-up" from data.
the "data-belief asymmetry".. the researchers use the invention of "heavier-than-air flight" to illustrate this concept. an ai relies on data-based prediction, which is largely imitative. humans, however, use theory-based causal logic that allows them to hold beliefs that go beyond existing data.

President Trump should invite Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza to meet with him in the Oval Office and then he should invite @elonmusk to the same meeting and announce free @Starlink for the people of Iran until @khamenei_ir falls.

The Iranian regime will soon face a funding shortage for their Islamic regime with the sanctioned oil being cut off, and the people of Iran have never had a better opportunity for their internal regime change than now.

امروز، سالروز امضای فرمان مشروطیت در ۱۴ مرداد ۱۲۸۵، برای ما یادآور یکی از بزرگترین جنبشهای تاریخ معاصر ایران است، جنبشی که از دل اندیشه و تلاش دهها سالهی ایراندوستانی برخاست که از عقبماندگی و نابسامانی ایران در دوران قاجار رنج میبردند.
آرمان مشروطیت بر سه اصل میت قانون،
حاکمیت ملی و اراده ملت،
و پیشرفت و ترقی ایران.
مشروطهخواهان بهخوبی دریافته بودند که بدون قانون، دادگستری مدرن و سامان اقتصادی، استقلال و پیشرفت کشور امکانپذیر نخواهد بود. شاید بتوان سخن ابوالحسنخان پیرنیا، نماینده تهران در جلسه ۱۵ شهریور ۱۲۸۶ نخستین مجلس شورای ملی، را چکیده و تجلی خواست آنان دانست:
«ایرانیان را دیگر جان به لب رسیده است؛ دو چیز لازم داریم، یکی مالیه و یکی عدلیه.»
کتاب «یک کلمه» اثر میرزا یوسفخان مستشارالدوله نیز همین حقیقت را یادآور میشد: راز پیشرفت کشور در یک کلمه خلاصه میشود، قانون.
اما این مبارزه با مقاومت مشروعهخواهانی روبهرو شد که حاکمیت شرع و فقها را بر قانون و حاکمیت ملی برتری میدادند. آن جریان فکری، دههها بعد در قالب جمهوری اسلامی و ولایت فقیه بر ایران حاکم شد. تأسفبار آنکه امروز نیز برخی جریانهای سیاسی، هرچند با ظاهری متفاوت، همچنان با اصل حاکمیت ملت و پذیرش رأی مردم بهعنوان مرجع نهایی تعیین نظام سیاسی آینده ایران مخالفت میکنند.
اگرچه آشفتگیهای سالهای پایانی حکومت قاجار، و کارشکنی مخالفان مشروطه مانع از تحقق کامل آرمانهای این نهضت شد، اما بخش مهمی از آن آرمانها در دوره حکومت دو پادشاه پهلوی تحقق یافت و به اجرا درآمد، از جمله با تأسیس دادگستری مدرن، احداث راهآهن سراسری، نوسازی ارتش، تأمین امنیت کشور، بنیانگذاری بانک ملی، ساماندهی امور اقتصادی و مالی و ایجاد دیگر نهادهای بنیادین توسعه.
امروز پاسداشت انقلاب مشروطه یعنی تأکید بر حاکمیت قانون، رأی و اراده ملت، جدایی کامل دین از حکومت، و بازگرداندن ایران به ریل ترقی و تمدن.
بر همین اساس، برنامه من برای هدایت ایران در دوران گذار بر برگزاری انتخابات آزاد، حاکمیت رأی ملت، تشکیل مجلس مؤسسان برای تعیین مسیر آینده کشور و فراهم آوردن زمینه شکوفایی و رفاه برای همه ایرانیان تأکید دارد.

We haven’t seen or heard you organize against the Islamic regime.
You said you care about ustice for all.
We know you do not have the authority to arrest the regime’s president, Pezeshkian, when he arrives in New York in September to attend the UN conference.
However, we know you have the power to organize protests, as you have implored New Yorkers to do when Israel’s prime minister arrives at the same time as the regime’s president.
To protest the injustice and medieval atrocities happening to Iranians right now, can you please deliver a speech to New Yorkers, asking them to protest Pezeshkian when he arrives?
Iranians will continue to be massacred because of your continued silence, and you said silence was complicity in evil.
