Beautifully highlighted concerns in a way of laying breadcrumbs for the obvious solutions. Instead of asking for controls from a place outside of control, he ensures the smart can connect the dots to understand the path forward and see the call to action.

By way of extension to Conway's law and to obviate the implications: teams, organizations, and government need to become transparent, create accountability, embrace diversity with democratized controls to the societal proliferation of AI (now generally called #superintelligence)

AI solved the code generation bottleneck, and now it is breaking everything else.
As agentic tools drive down the cost of building software, engineering velocity is no longer limited by typing speed. The bottleneck moved to product specs, deployment pipelines, and reliability.

Generating code is cheap now. The real competitive advantages are product qualification, automated pipeline safety, and sustainable teams.
Where is your team feeling the back pressure most right now?

Fifth is operational resilience. Code writes itself around the clock, but production systems still break. Compressing team sizes strictly around coding output creates brittle on-call. We have to staff for human resilience and cultivate generalists across security and reliability.

Fourth is cognitive overhead. Reviewing thousands of lines of synthetic pull requests burns engineers out fast. We have to shift reviews left by auditing system architecture, constraints, and contract tests before any code gets generated.

Third is continuous evals and paved roads. Traditional APMs were built for human release cadences, not fleets of agents shipping constantly. Observability needs to evolve into automated SLO enforcement, runtime guardrails, and real-time verification inside developer platforms.

Second is pipeline congestion and dead code. Machine-generated code overwhelms CI and CD pipelines, while fast experiments leave trails of dead flags and zombie code. We need hyper-parallel build systems and automated cleanup agents that safely rip out dead dependencies.

First is the product ingestion bottleneck. Teams burn through backlogs faster than PMs can research, qualify, and spec work. We need micro teams or forward deployed engineers working directly alongside users to keep discovery high signal.
