I've always thought that the best thing Democrats could've done for American conservatives was lock up Trump for his crimes.
Same with Brazil and imprisoning Jair Bolsonaro. The reason the Bolsonaros keep facing legal problems is because they're authoritarians and criminals. The fact that they reject democracy on principle is what justifies crackdowns against them, just as with Trump.
Conservatism doesn't have to be a cult of personality around one leader or family. You don't have to run a guy for president just because he's the son of the guy who tried to murder his opponent and abolish democracy after he lost last time.
When your guy is an actual authoritarian and criminal, you lose the ability to complain when institutions react accordingly.
Just choose someone else. It's not that hard.

Fuck this Chinese job market.
Young people are getting absolutely fucked. No real opportunities, shit pay that barely covers rent, and you're expected to grind 996 like a dog. Overtime is mandatory, weekends are optional, and if you complain you get replaced by the next desperate grad.
Everyone's killing each other for scraps. Involution is out of control — 300 people fighting for one mediocre position, then the winner gets paid like shit and worked to death. Graduates with master's degrees delivering food or sitting on their parents' couch.
Companies treat you like disposable labor. No raises, no promotions, just more work and the constant threat of being laid off. The economy's trash, private sector is dying, and the only "stable" path is fighting millions for a government job that might not even exist by the time you get it.
It's a fucking meat grinder. Opportunity? What opportunity. Just endless competition and poverty wages.
