Runs with latest version and also earliest available on play.nim-lang.org (1.2.0 dating back to April 2020, likely some variations of that worked years from that, Nim always had easy accessible strong reflection capabilities)
Suppose that you want to write a C++ that prints a series of values, but also their type.

E.g., given

print_all(1.2, "abc", 3, std::vector<int>({2,3}));

You want...

double = 1.2
const char* = abc
int = 3
std::vector<int> = [2, 3]

You can do it in C++26 with little code.

1. Use 'templattime iteration.

2. Call display_string_of on the reflection of the types. (Don't forget the rabbit ears ^^)

Loved the quote on the four primary color computer science (network, storage, memory and compute)
In 2020, we discovered a fundamental limit in the general-purpose DB design for transaction processing.

This led to the creation of TigerBeetle.

Today, I'm excited to announce TigerBeetle's $24 million Series A led by @natalievais of @sparkcapital.

Thinking about the Data Science Venn Diagram and where the focus has shifted over the years. My feeling is that focus shifted from math/stats 🧮 to code 🧑‍💻 and now maybe it is time to give more focus to the domain? 👷🧑‍🌾👩🏽‍💼

This keynote from last year @pyconit by @marlene_zw is really great, informative and inspirational and it will likely make you think new things. It has only one problem: it has too little views and likes 😱, but that’s something you can help with 😜 youtu.be/8Asn_vmg7Tg

If you were wondering why DuckDB is so great this interview by @krisajenkins to @hfmuehleisen is at the same time ton of fun and highly informative. If you weren’t or do not know DuckDB but you know a bit of SQL you are in for a treat. Highly recommend youtu.be/pZV9FvdKmLc?si…

One of the things I love about @nim_lang is how it puts a lot of effort (having limited resources) in doing the kind of grunt work that will not give you headlines or HN threads, but it makes users happy, see the following testimony from discord
Nim 1.6.14 released; it is a very large patch release, bringing lots of improvements. See the details here:  lnkd.in/dhACGBH6
