The way he’s consistently the one being stripped too what is happening

honestly peter adjusting to being cared about again after four years of not having anyone is something i think about often. him still not hiding his bruising and being surprised when frank asks about it. him being surprised when jean reaches out to him from school instead of just completely forgetting his existence and moving on. ned actually taking notice when its been a few days since hes eaten and peter not even knowing what to say bc once again hes never had someone care in so long. mj hacking ev so shes alerted if something goes really wrong bc she knows peter would sooner bleed to death in an alley than call for help. its actually extremely overwhelming for him bc hes so unfamiliar with being loved now.

like its so overwhelming that he actually starts to get snappy and try to push people away again, not bc he doesn't want them around but bc its genuinely Too Much! for him all at once.

these specific shots always get me thinking about how peter still worries about every person around him, but everyone who worried about him is either dead or doesn’t remember him. he doesn’t even have anyone to hide the bruises from anymore. oh that will always make me sick
