Tree #0 filled all 1,048,576 leaves and was sealed at block #1,359,913. Tree #1 is now active and the forest keeps growing.
Sealed doesn't mean frozen. Its root stays on-chain as a permanent anchor, so every note inside it can te transfer can combine notes from any tree in the forest.

The keys that validate private transactions were swapped on a running network, without pausing the chain, without touching anyone's funds, and without asking users to migrate anything. Your notes from yesterday still spend ys bring: the destination address and the encrypted note attached to a private transaction are now sealed inside the proof. Nobody can reroute a payment or alter its message once it's signed.
