.@DylanAbruscato of @tbpn has bet on live for 10 years: @SNLUpdate, @CNBC, @hqtrivia, now @tbpn.
His logic: you can’t fast forward live, so advertisers pay for it.
Fewer viewers, higher quality attention.
Reach or presence?

Six months after @OpenAI acquired @tbpn, @DylanAbruscato says nothing changed.
Separate phones. Separate email devices. Some competitor guests cancelled. Blowback was minimal.
Trust is built with architecture, not statements.
How do you prove independence?

.@michakaufman, CEO of @fiverr, after 25 years of running companies:
“Why do I hire people? What do I expect out of them?”
With digital agents on the table, that question gets harder to dodge.
What’s your honest answer?

.@fiverr CEO @michakaufman on AI coding:
AI goes where its training data is densest. For code, that’s open source. And most open source is poor, because great developers are rare.
Fast average code is still average code.
Who reviews your AI output?

.@DylanAbruscato of @tbpn runs a 3 hour live show and admits most people won’t watch it.
So they slice it: podcast cut, real time X clips, reels, @LinkedIn.
Your content isn’t what you make. It’s what people actually consume.
What’s your clip strategy?

.@DylanAbruscato of @tbpn on the @OpenAI acquisition: most people got it wrong. It had little to do with the show itself.
You think you’re selling the product. The buyer is often pricing something else.
What’s the real asset in your company?

You Can See Everything - the documentary on Elizabeth Holmes
(which achieved $15M in box office sales within days)
It's a story many people are talking about. What did actually happen all those years ago and what is the actual truth behind the entire collapse?
So to understand invited the one person who knew Elizabeth better than most to tell the story on our show: @TylerShultz_ - a former employee at Theranos and one incredible storyteller.
This was taped a year ago, but it still remains one of the most jaw-dropping episodes (mostly because the story is told exactly the same as we see in the interviews, books and movies).
It's one mind-blowing interview.

A retailer capped markup at 14% and told customers to shop elsewhere if it was cheaper. Then he was fired.
Twenty years of trust, liquidated in 7. @ericries’s point: values in your head die with your role. Values in your structure outlive you.
Which do you have?

Why did @OpenAI acquire @tbpn?
A few weeks ago, we hosted our first NEW MEDIA Summit with @Yahoo
(which by the way, had 850+ registrations)
We were joined by an incredible roster of speakers, one of which was @DylanAbruscato - President at TBPN.
During our chat, I asked Dylan ncluding:
1. Why did OpenAI acquire TBPN?
2. How do long-term partnership deals work, like the ones Formula One teams do?
3. Why creators should consider being very commercially driven from day one.
4. The impact of live-streaming and the ROI it has on partnership ad reads.
5. Would TBPN ever expand outside of technology?
6. Where new media is heading next: What happens to legacy and new media channels?
Plus much more!
This was a ton of fun to host and moderate! Catch the highlights from my chat with Dylan right now!

Why does financial gravity pull great companies apart, while a few like Costco hold their shape for decades?
WeWork and Polaroid didn’t fail for lack of good ideas. They failed because, slowly, every decision bent toward short-term returns.
I’ve been a huge fan of @ericries Lean Startup.
He is now back with his latest book, Incorruptible: Why Good Companies Go Bad and How Great Companies Stay Great.
So I invited him on the podcast to talk about exactly this.
Eric doesn’t sugar coat it. Here’s what we got into:
The default clause
Delaware’s standard “any lawful act or activity” wording quietly commits founders to maximising shareholder value, and lawyers rarely flag it.
Three protections you can set up in weeks
Become a PBC, adopt a director’s oath, appoint a mission guardian.
Mission statement vs mission
One is marketing, the other is binding. Silicon Valley Bank’s charter showed which one it really had.
Timing and buy-in
It’s always too early until it’s too late. Roughly 25 people need to agree to a change, so win them early. Anthropic’s Long-Term Benefit Trust shows mission governance can become a commercial advantage.
If you’re a founder, the default clause section alone is worth your time.
This is a must listen!
