Construction is progressing swiftly at Northvolt Dwa in Gdańsk, Poland, and we recently installed a second stacker crane for the factory warehouse. Fully built, Dwa will be the largest battery systems factory of its kind in Europe.

During the winter, there are some days when Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå only sees 4 hours of sunlight. We think there is something magical about those winter months, when the snow glistens and the air is crisp.

Drone shots like these come close to capturing the sheer size of the gigafactory. Situated on a 1,500,000m2 site, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 60GWh – enough for one million electric vehicles.

The Voltpack Mobile System is enabling fast EV charging on one of Sweden’s main highways. Made possible by @Skellefteakraft, this deployment shows how fast charging is achievable now, even in the absence of a strong grid connection.

Northvolt Ett's size and location presents its own unique challenges. This year alone, 150,000 m3 of snow has been removed from the site. That's 8,000 tonnes of snow.
