New day, new Claude Code mod... and this is a big one!!!
magic-lantern lets Claude Code walk you through things out loud, with pictures and animations, in a side pane. My desk is turning into Tony Stark's lab.
(Sorry for the audio, think vintage radio.)

It's a small mod I wrote, show-me. Claude writes the picture as HTML or SVG and the mod draws it in the conversation. It can point at the exact thing, zoom in, show two versions side by side, diagram the code, or chart some numbers.

Witnessing another major Church VS Tech fight is *really* cool! I haven’t had so much fun since the Galileo’s affair!
NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV’s AI encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious.
Olah’s team then privately lobbied the pope’s advisers “to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously.” Pope Leo XIV held firm.
For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing. thelettersfromleo.com/p/nyt-anthropi…

GDPR is a disgrace for newly born startups. If they only applied it according to company scale and centralize cookie management, 90% of the problem would go out of the window.
The GDPR has been a catastrophe for Europe. The billions of euros misspent on stupid compliance games to with loser prizes like this is tragic. A bold EU would recognize the lateness of the hour and flush it whole.

iPhone prices have risen to a level I consider immoral for a single phone. I buy a new model every 5-6 years, and the iPhone 17 was next in line. I’ll spend r that $1,600 elsewhere, thanks.

It's been since the PS1-era Final Fantasy games that an RPG has left such a lasting impression on me as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 did. Everything about the game feels genuinely excellent: story, characters, atmosphere, visual art, soundtrack... It truly stayed with me.

I just installed the Perplexity search extension for Chrome. SearchGPT also has a similar one. Oh, Google Search is so screwed...

What's the best solution to migrate a WP website to something static and possibly self hosted?

Do you ever feel that older cities are just more interesting than new ones?
Well, it isn't just because they're old.
It's because of something called "vernacular architecture"...

I just completed Hogwarts Legacy. Pretty damn good game, and they did nail the Wizarding World vibe. 💯% suggested.
