It’s unsettling to see so many critical vulnerabilities surface, but finding them gives us a chance to fix them. AI may be giving critical software the most thorough security audit it’s ever had. x.com/i/article/2113…

Very dumb! Stay vigilant and vote RED since “the woke mind virus is like The Walking Dead... it never stops coming. The fight has to continue or we risk the collapse of entire Western civilization.” At least we have X where we are free to share these ideas thanks to @elonmusk!
Remember when using the wrong pronoun got people canceled?

That was dumb.

Umm who told you that the AI boom would create a massive wave of tech jobs? That has never been true. AI just does most of it better and faster. The higher-level engineering and AI dev roles are safer … for now, but we are nearing the point of self-improving AI creating itself. Scary reality.
This is crazy. Absolutely insane.

We were told the AI boom would create a massive wave of new tech jobs. Instead, Microsoft just offered voluntary buyouts to 60,000 employees, nearly 27% of its entire workforce.

I know this isn't a mandatory layoff, but it's a clear sign of how tructure race is burning. Building data centers for OpenAI, Anthropic and cloud customers is so expensive that Microsoft is actively trying to shrink its payroll to protect cash flow.

Ironically, even the teams building Copilot and AI Experiences are on the buyout list.

- Scope: Around 60,000 employees out of 223,000 globally are eligible across the US, India, UK, and Canada.
- Seniority: Open to Level 70 and below.
- Who's included: AI Experiences, Copilot, Xbox, Windows + Devices, Finance, and HR. Sales, Marketing, and Security are excluded.
- The package: Standard severance, with a minimum of 60 days of base pay on payroll, scaling up to 39 weeks of base pay depending on level and tenure.
- Timeline: Employees must decide by early December, with their last day set for December 31.

Never stop believing! Also, are we really quoting Ted Lasso the football turned “soccer” coach right now? 🤔😳🤣
We all do, nothing but the best for the Pack!!!

Something most founders don't know until it gets expensive:

Running a problem past your AI assistant is not privileged.

Attorney-client privilege protects what you tell your lawyer. It does not extend to a model. If you type "are we exposed here" or "can we get away with this" into a chatbot, you have created a discoverable business record, not a protected conversation.

The part that makes it worse: people are far more candid with a model than they would ever be in an email to a colleague. That candor is exactly what makes it damaging later.

This is not an argument against using AI. It is an argument for knowing which conversation belongs where.

When the question is actually a legal question, call the lawyer. That is the one conversation that is protected.

I think so too - I dismissed the post about it last week, but there may be truth to Maryland’s interest in Doeren. If they reached out to Boo for permission to interview him that could have set things in motion. They also have the same pool of candidates other than Rivers and somehow thinking they will buy Dickert away from WF.
@fleischman_noah @PackTimPeeler I think we are going to learn down the road that there were a lot of things transpiring behind the scenes that led to the administration making swift decisions on all fronts.

Sounds like about the riskiest possible investment you could make then. Only one I know of that literally could kill you and wipe out the species.
BREAKING: Anthropic is warning investors that AI could pose catastrophic and even existential risks to humanity.

The warning comes from its IPO filing, which Reuters reported devotes about 80 of its 261 pages to risk factors.

Yup! The issue became when we didn’t have the $$$$ to keep these players in Raleigh to keep the benefits of this development for 4-5 years like we used to.
Dave had 15 players from the 2017 team play in the NFL. Most of those were 2-3 star recruits, the development was revitalizing

Get ready for a wild winter folks!
If you live in a pink area on this map, your chances for a particularly stormy winter are notably higher than normal.

That includes densely populated stretches of the West and East!

I surveyed meteorologists from these regions. Here's what they said 🧵

Would most likely need to be a constitutional amendment.
🚨HOLY Crap:@elonmusk has announced his support for Warren Buffett’s plan to eliminate the deficit in 5 minutes:

“Just pass a law that says, ‘Anytime there's a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for reelection.’”

Do you support this?

"Can I copyright what my AI wrote?"

I get this question constantly, and the honest answer is worse than most founders expect.

The US Copyright Office's position is that purely AI-generated material has no human author, so there is nothing to register. Your prompt does not make you the author. It has been treated as instruction, not authorship.

What that means in practice:

Landing page copy generated end to end is likely unprotectable. A competitor can lift it word for word and you have no claim.

A logo straight out of an image model has the same problem. You may not be able to stop anyone else from using it.

Code is different, messier, and genuinely worth paying someone to look at.

What actually helps is the human edit trail. Meaningful human revision is where protection starts. Keep your drafts. Keep your versions. The record that you shaped it is the asset.

Most founders learn this when they try to enforce against someone. That is the expensive moment to find out.

Wow, that was a great investment deal for @elonmusk! Best $60B he’s probably ever spent.
From the @SpaceXSI Q3 financial update:

Cursor contributed ~$608M of revenue in the ~1.5 months since acquisition

This comes out to ~$380M MRR, or ~$4.6B ARR

Do not fear! Do not worry! God is in control and we know how the story ends. Make it a great week! Don’t forget to vote RED!
Good morning friends and happy Monday. Wishing everyone a fantastic start to the week. Beautiful weather again today.

Soon heading to the gym and a solid day of work followed by bible study with Reset Ministries. And I need to find time to cut the grass.

"Do not fear" is the bible. 365 days in a year. God used 40 authors from 3 continents over 1500 years to come up with that command 365 times. That's mind blowing.

Do not fear because He (our Heavenly Father) is with us. Praise Jesus ✝️ 🫶

Yes, he did not deserve things to end this way.. After 14 years and becoming the winningest coach in school history, Dave has left his indelible mark shaping and elevating Wolfpack Football. Thank you, Coach!
100%. While I agree it's time to move on, he does not deserve the hate. He loved NC State and it showed. Thankful for all the great moments over the years

Good insights on Philip!
Will Philip Rivers leave St. Michael to become the next coach at N.C. State? Here's my take from covering him for the past 6 seasons. #alpreps
