want to clear up one question i keep getting about $MOTION and team token claims on fomo
i don't hold a single $MOTION token. never have since launch. my bet on motion is the product, not the token
this was my decision from day 1
just look at how MOTION launched 3 weeks ago. rs to migrate
no bundles, no team allocation, no tokens distributed to anyone on the team. nothing
you can also check the top holders. most of them are real people with audiences and profiles on fomo
i have no interest in dumping on holders. token creator fees are already more than enough to keep the project running
i don't think a trading terminal should build its business model around selling its own token
people buying, selling, taking profits etc. doesn't bother me at all. that's just the market
anyway, some updates from today:
• we passed 1,000 holders. that's actually huge for us
• briefly reached #2 trending on PONS. i'll count that as an achievement
• still getting a lot of bug reports in DMs. going through everything and trying to fix it as quickly as possible
especially USDC trading. i was focusing so much on speed that some reliability issues came up. working on all of that now
• also fixed mobile sessions. you shouldn't get logged out or have to confirm your local wallets every time anymore
and one more thing
motion trading volume is actually holding up really well. sometimes we're even hitting new ATHs while overall robinhood chain volume keeps going down
i think a big part of this is that everything i'm building comes directly from motion traders and their requests
still a lot of work ahead

wanted to hear your thoughts on how to promote Motion as effectively as possible. how would you approach it?
a few ideas from me:

mass posting across the space — Twitch, X, Telegram, shilling everywhere so more people hear about us
content creators — working with smaller creators and streamers
partnerships — working with other projects, supporting each other and sharing audiences

quite a few bug reports came in last night, so we're already working through them
main focus right now is improving usdc trading, fixing bugs and making everything more stable
also continuing work on new partnerships and integrations for motion
finally submit our android app to google play for review
all company and identity verification is finally completed. no idea how long the review will take, but hopefully faster than apple
also noticed something interesting in our analytics
trading volume on solana is slowly growing, and more new users are coming specifically to trade there
nice to see motion starting to reach people outside robinhood chain
we've also started working on a separate branch for the near hackathon
i think this could bring a new audience to motion, especially if near really gets another wave of meme trading

we need to keep building, expanding our infrastructure for ai agents and getting motion in front of more people

new backup security options are now live on motion
your wallet backups were already encrypted, but we wanted to give you more control over how they're protected
here's what we added:
• 2FA — our server won't release your encrypted backup without your 2FA code. works across app
• passkey — an extra layer of protection using Face ID, fingerprint or your device PIN. even our server can't decrypt your backup on its own
• file-only mode — if you don't want your backup stored on our server at all, you can keep it yourself
you can enable 2FA, passkey, both or neither. nothing changes unless you choose
you can also delete your existing backup from our server whenever you want
and if you lose access to your passkey, you'll have a recovery code provided during setup. your backup file is still an option too
we tried to make the whole process as simple as possible, with step-by-step instructions

got a bit caught up in all the legal paperwork and company verification stuff, but i’m sorting it out
i update the Android APK after every release, so if you really want to try it already, you can
i’m pretty sure the Android app will be available in the store much sooner
just hoping that since Motion is non-custodial and we don’t hold users’ funds, we won’t have to go through too many additional reviews
also hoping to get the first iOS version out to testers through TestFlight soon
doing my best to get both apps released

quite a lot of updates and fixes shipped on Motion today
spent most of the day improving speed, stability and fixing bugs you've been reporting
here's what changed:
speed & stability
• live feeds no longer disconnect every time i deploy an update
• fixed a memory leak on BNB and added automatic recovery if a service gets stuck
• Home now loads without waiting for slow chains, and the token tables no longer jump around
• the new design is smoother, with faster navigation and fewer unnecessary background processes
• charts now let you scroll much further back on smaller timeframes
USD balance
• balance now loads correctly in 1.5–2s instead of 11–17s
• Solana buys using your USD balance now take around 0.7s from click to sending the transaction, down from 2.5–3.2s
• native gas reserves automatically refill after trades, so consecutive buys no longer fail because of missing gas
• fixed incorrect balances and unnecessary "Not enough SOL" errors trading & positions
• added cross-chain swaps through Relay across Robinhood, BNB, Solana, Base and Ethereum
• sell buttons now show the actual dollar value for each percentage
• Solana positions now correctly track buys from different launchpads, including entry prices and PnL
• positions now work across all chains in both designs
• fixed Sell All on Solana and incorrect PnL for tokens bought outside Motion
also fixed a bunch of smaller things on mobile, wallet backup popups, wallet connections and switching between classic and new designs

for example, i think most people missed something pretty important in yesterday's USDC update
Motion now has its own private bridge running across Robinhood, BNB and Solana
your USD balance works across all three chains. if you need funds on another chain, Motion can automatically move them through our bridge, starting from just $0.10
no gas on the destination chain? Motion handles that too
our own bridge is the first route we use. it's instant, and public bridges like Relay only kick in as a backup
you just press buy

just to give you an idea of the scale:
