Some early vote nuggets in CA:
Overall ballots cast are up 1.4 million, 28% turnout compared to 25% in 2022 at this time. The one read could be that if 23% in 2022 resulted in final of 50%, 28% in 2026 should result in over 60% turnout.
CA 22 (Valadao v. Villegas) has the 2022. Turnout then, on election eve, was only 15%, this cycle it's at 23% - an 8-pt jump, or more than 50% increase.
Latino Turnout is also up about 50%, from 13% in 2022, to 19% this cycle, a 6.5-pt bump.
Latino Age 18-34 vote is nearly DOUBLE turnout from 2022. Up from just above 5% in 2022, to over 10% this cycle.
