a lot has changed in how software gets built in the past 12 months

a year ago, the median new @convex project took a day to reach production

now it takes under 2 hours

And heres another bear-themed tool. This one is a replacment for ChatGPT's Computer Memory.

It records my screen, summarises it, indexes and puts it in a safe archive for agents to inspect for context.

It works across agents and is opensource: github.com/mikecann/remem…

Continuing my "agentic arc" I built my own "computer-use" tool called "ComputerCub".

It work exactly how I want it, plays nicely with all agents, be it Codex, Claude, Muse whatever.

Plugs in to Threadbear perfectly.

I have too many AI accounts, was annoyed that I had to set up connectors for all of them sepparately so I build a single service that they all use: github.com/mikecann/plugb…

Just another thing that im taking control of and plugging into Threadbear

Heres another of the technical deep dives I did a few months back with one of the OG @convex engineers @nipunn1313.

There's a bunch of surprising complexity to backups when you are dealing with massive amounts of data in your DB.
How hard can backing up a database be?

40 minutes at the whiteboard with @nipunn1313 & @mikeysee says: very 😅

Snapshots, the document log, data sync and OLAP 👇

Oh man im gonna be out of a job soon
All gas, no breakages.

day 2 of making cool vids for startups: today @convex, my favorite tech product and brand.

when code is cheap and you can build anything from scratch, you might as well hand the hard parts to the people who care most about them. that's what it means to strahere: abs- "away" + trahere "to draw." to draw away.

convex does exactly that: a reactive backend platform that draws away the complexity of building apps, so you can focus on your product and ship cool stuff.

ps, don't work at convex (i wish) or affiliated

Threadbear is only a few days old but it is already very fully featured. I have moved everything over to it, its so good already.

I cant wait to share it with all of you, im just iterating another couple of days, next week im aiming to release it.
Ye I really like where this is going

Yes this! I was working on this problem today for Threadbear!
feels like there needs to be a new way to distribute opensource software such that people can modify via agents but also get upstream automatically merged in

coding agents can do this but they won’t do it automatically

I sat down with @ianmacartney (the absolute GOAT @convex engineer) at a whiteboard a couple of months ago and he absolutely blowed my mind with the subtleties of time on convex.

Check it out if you like technical deep dives!

Very cool :) im a big fan of cusomising my OS navigation too mikerosoft.app/tools/taskbar
experimenting with a lil personal project: an AI-native macOS dock with custom modes (writing, building, etc.) to help me stay focused

my agent is able to customize mode behavior and add new modes, it uses jev to classify my activity + notifications in real time & act on them

Some fun shots from the 2026 NRL Hunter season

The fun thing about this clip was how I edited it.

I tried out @mikeysee’s Tandem video editing app. I basically gave it my folder of unedited shooting clips and told it to pick a handful of cool ones with both the DJI rst-person scope cam. It synced them up, added some labels, made the scope cam overlays, etc.

Pretty impressed! Just a couple back and forth exchanges with codex and out popped a video!
