So often, the online conversation of ‘gender equality’, becomes infatuated on relatively fringe issues that directly impact very few people.

Meanwhile, universal issues, such as education, which impact quite literally everybody, are swept under the rug and widely ignored.

Here nd young men are behind at every stage of education, at every age, and in every Western country.

They are behind in every racial and socioeconomic group, and have been for around 45 years.

And its not just the degree that they’re missing on (which frankly I don’t care about), it’s the fact that high education is correlated with countless positive health outcomes, that men and boys deserve to benefit from.

So why do so few speak so little about what is happening to boys in school?

And what are the impacts down the line when we refuse to help them?

Despite boys being behind girls in school, at more or less every stage, the only ‘boys education’ we seem to advocate for, are the lessons for them to not become sexual predators.

And I get it.

My issue is not that these lessons aren’t needed, they are, in fact, in many ways, h.

They don’t go far enough, because they fail to see the other side of the problem, and tend to wholesale ignore the unseen perpetrators of abuse, violence, and coercion… who are girls.

Yes. I said it.

Demands to ‘educate your sons’ have offered useful, if not hard-to-hear lessons to our boys.

And now it’s time to teach them to our girls too.

So, educate your sons…

Educate your daughters…

And most of all, educate yourselves…

ative is leading this important annual campaign, reminding us that domestic violence has no gender and every victim deserves dignity, protection and justice.

📊 The statistics are sobering:

🔹 One in five men in the UK will experience domestic abuse during their lifetime — approximately 4.3 million men.

🔹 Around 40% of victims disclosing domestic abuse in the UK are male.

🔹 Yet only 1 in 23 victims accessing certain specialist community domestic abuse services is male...

Domestic abuse isn't just physical violence. It includes psychological manipulation, coercive control, financial exploitation, threats, humiliation and sexual abuse.

Men are often victims. Women are often perpetrators. And male victims deserve exactly the same empathy, compassion and protection as female victims.

Too often, male survivors encounter disbelief, ridicule, shame or services that simply aren't designed to accommodate them.

This must change.

We need more accessible support services, properly funded male-friendly refuges, better police training, greater public awareness and policies that recognise victims regardless of sex...

Supporting male victims doesn't diminish our commitment to helping women. Genuine equality means applying the same moral principles to everyone...
