1) We’ve written a new article about the spectacular progress in artificial intelligence (AI), the billions that AI companies are investing to transform drug discovery, and why this is a reason for hope for ME/CFS patients.

Here's a brief summary 👇

14) None of this is meant to overlook the many downsides and dangers of AI, but ME/CFS patients are among the wretched of this earth, and they have the most to gain from a coming AI revolution!

Suspect the same applies to the Horizon Europe programs.
Grant applications have become a lottery. A 60% growth in applications to one of the world’s most prestigious research-grant programs is resulting in an exceptionally low success rate

I think this is one of the major problems of AI--it's creating tsunami of grant applications n process into chaos.

Grant decisions already felt fairly random and this seems to make the system worse.

1) It's been a while since we heard from the microclot theory.

This new paper from Oxford says it found no evidence of hypercoagulability, altered fibrinolysis, or increased microclots.

Important caveat: it used frozen samples and a different technique to measure clots.

9) The authors conclude that antithrombotic therapy for Long Covid is not justified outside of clinical trials. Their results were published as a brief letter in HemaSphere, journal of the European Hematology Association.
