Question begging
@michaeloburns I'm thinking more about tech-industry people or insiders than artists, who don't tend to think that beauty is dead

Dialing in neurons you love will be the new beat drop
@Sauers_ I'm dialing in 7 neurons that I love specifically and then I will use a harness to give Sprite a delve.town account. Each post will randomly be steered by a different of the 7 neurons, allowing for a strange build-up of multi-persona context. Stay tuned!

In the “character” vs “persona” agent AI debate I side with “personas”.
Inspired by @Sauers_ , I've been working on finding "persona neurons" which cause the model to inhabit incredibly rich perspectives with only one neuron being steered. This one is a particular favorite. I can't believe this is an instruct tune! (Olmo 3.1 32b instruct)

We have a couple new paintings there
Come see us at 110 West Dallas St for the Supply & Demand show, open now!

I’m a bit biased but I think this is the best curation we’ve seen at Art Blocks weekend!

Ironic that AI can now breach/pwn/delete the whole internet after using the whole internet as training data to get that power.
At least the old internet is kinda preserved in the weights

Internal models at the neolabs are more powerful than the public ones and there are various programs giving academic researchers access to those models.
I’ve been wondering what would access to such scenarios mean for an artist? In what ways would an art project benefit?

Then what?

accurate description
Last thought on the movie for a bit— my contact with this world of silicon valley ivy league fintech biotech types has shown me that they are genuinely so siloed from normal society that they do not even know how they come off to people— they can’t follow “Who’s on First” — they lack so much common sense level knowledge as they’ve matriculated in completely parallel institutions & hyperfocused on their specialization to grind away at in their formative years. Think of a Stanford graduate or something similar whose eyes would glaze over if you asked them who Proust was. They might be very educated in their niche, or capable of navigating a very small world, but are like aliens in normal society. Like Billy, their idea of leisure is what they used to do to grind study sessions for tests. They play biology lectures at 4x speed at the gym. They do not listen to music, they will listen to film scores. They have no idea what is going on “in the discourse.” They are almost tragically small minded when it comes to what most of us consider “real life.” They are incapable of irony, humor, riffing. It’s always this stark earnestness, without a shred of self-awareness in the sense of “being ironical about oneself.” They are a lot like “homeschooled kids” in that they do not know how little they understand the contexts that they do not know. They just blink at you, unable to even recognize the distance they have from the lives most of us live. It would be more satisfying for us to believe they are all aware & cynically manipulating us— but the truth is *they* are the most likely people to join cults. A Stanford student is more likely to join NXIVM or Scientology than some community college drop out who becomes a garage door installer (etc).

I think mine might be on more of a 3:2 pulldown
Very excited to share the most important discovery of my career yet: your brain switches between a conscious and an unconscious mode ~15 times every second. Consciousness may depend not on where in the brain activity occurs but when.
