As expected, Israel kills Palestinians every day for months on end and nobody bats an eye; Palestinians finally respond, attacking Israeli soldiers at an Israeli military checkpoint on occupied Palestinian land, and its front page news and Israel makes the entire West Bank pay.
Netanyahu:
The IDF will enter the neighborhoods from which the terrorists came, evacuate the residents, go house to house, and destroy the terrorist infrastructure.
We are prepared for a large-scale operation in the West Bank.

I’m grieving the deaths of the two Israeli soldiers killed in Hebron today, and praying for the full & speedy recovery of those who were injured.
I’ve spoken out loudly this week against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, which imposes violence on a daily basis, and I will continue to do so. But violence is not the path to ending it — or to achieving safety, freedom, and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.
And neither is collective punishment or ethnic cleansing of an entire neighborhood, or punishing millions of people for the criminal act of two, which Netanyahu has promised to enact in response.
I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image.
For now: Shabbat Shalom, to everyone who believes in the hard work of making peace & justice a reality, for everyone.

Speaking after leaving the hospital, she said Israeli soldiers charged Palestinian farmers as settlers advanced alongside them. She said that unlike her, Palestinian victims endure these attacks daily, with absolutely nowhere safe to go.

University of Michigan freshman Robert Kashan is one of many Jewish Michiganders who are alarmed that Dr. El-Sayed hasn't shown more support for the five nonnegotiables.
To Robert, these aren't crazy demands. They're a simple ask: affirmation of the same dignity, safety, and ther community receives, and the same legitimacy for Jewish statehood that every other nation receives.
Robert remains hopeful about the next couple of weeks. He is inviting Dr. El-Sayed to engage directly with his concerns and demonstrate with words and conduct that he understands and respects our community’s baseline needs.
