Smart investments in transportation make a real difference for our communities! We broke ground on the Logan Express Remote Terminal in Braintree, the first permanent remote terminal in the United States.
This project will create a “remote terminal” for Delta and JetBlue that will allow passengers to have their baggage screened and complete the entire airport security process before they arrive at Logan Airport, with bus drop-off post-security, enabling them to proceed directly to the departure gate. This Union-built facility will give South Shore residents a convenient way to access Logan Airport while supporting local workers and businesses.
I’m proud to have worked alongside @MassGovernor, @townofbraintree Mayor Erin Joyce, @Massport CEO Rich Davey, @MBTA Secretary Phil Eng, Senators Bill Driscoll and John Keenan, and Representative Mark Cusack for making this happen. And special thanks to Pat Mulkerrin of the Quincy/South Shore Building Trades and Lou Antonellis of @IBEW103 and the skilled men and women who actually make these projects possible.
