Unironically if people hate the idea of doing raids for bis in FF14, you should give Guild Wars 2 a try

You could be the most casual player ever and still get bis and the game is really fun still!

Repost so everyone stays informed:
DO NOT email them
DO NOT sign up
DO NOT give them money for audio books
DO NOT sign up for monetisation of works
DO NOT download
This seems to be a huge data scrape of deleted & available works uploaded to Ao3 only. Just DON'T INTERACT!!

Honestly this is the most positive and optimistic I've felt about a stock market bombing since I've been born. Drive that shit into the ground, I won't be satisfied until Amodei, Altman and Huang rope
🚨 ABSOLUTE BLOODBATH IN MARKETS.

$1.2 trillion has been wiped out from US stocks, precious metals and crypto in just 4 hours.

every pre ESO piece of lore is like "the hermaphrodite warrior poet bit off a god's penis and used it to kill their children" and every post ESO one is like "doggos who are born under the Pupper Moon have the hecking valid blessing"
If you've ever read the Elder Scrolls wiki you can easily tell which lore tidbits were formulated before and after ESO

sorry the editing is a bit chopped, but like I need you guys to see the difference in how he's animated. Like throw out the text and just focus on the animation. I probably wouldn't have fallen for him as hard as I did if not for him acting the way that he does in the JP dub.

Maybe I'm just fucking old but 'young adult fiction' when I was a teenager was books written to encourage you not to do stupid shit, like why not to get teen pregnant or why not to do drugs, like it was all stories about fictional girls experiencing consequences to teach a lesson
A lot of the problem with YA is that it's just not really necessary. 16-year-olds can read almost all fiction--they certainly won't understand everything, but they don't have to. We don't need teenager-specific literature.

Replying to @marigoldsword
and like, Pern and Mercedes Lackey and stuff like that, I don't think we really had YA back then? Pern was DEFINITELY not YA and we were all over that shit in high school

I guess thinking back on it, there was shit like L.J. Smith and the Nightworld stuff that was probably considered the precursor to YA novels? But it was only in the horror genre you were seeing stuff like that. If you wanted fantasy you were reading adult books.
