Hi Matthew, all of our facts are true, I wouldn’t trust Musk’s community notes. For a start they’ve got the starting date wrong, it was August 26th, and then they’ve included your Rogers tweets from the day of taping which we obviously couldn’t include. So I was right. Also, tweet numbers aside, the wider point still stands, that you clearly went against your own advice and pledge, as you conceded on the day. And please don’t get mad at us because we do research. It’s called good journalism.
A frustrating aspect of this show is that the host doesn’t say in any detail what he’s going to ask you about and then gets to confront you with a big stack of research that it’s not possible to pause and do fact-checking on and then it turns out some of it’s not true.

Mehdi Hasan mistakenly said the starting date was the 30th in both the interview and his tweet about it, despite referencing a tweet he previously said had been written on the 26th. Others used the date he provided.
