Happy to share that a unique set of my physical Filament Sculptures (2013) was recently acquired by the Ragnar Digital collection. It is great to see these pieces join my digital works in the collection.

Most computer art collectors know the name @CharlesCsuri. But many don't know that his daughter Caroline is a pioneering computer artist in her own right and among the first group of artists to create works on a desktop computer.
In 1987 she created Immigrant Child using an d a photograph with a black-and-white surveillance camera fitted with Digi-View, a digitizer that worked by shooting the image three times through a rotating wheel of red, green, and blue filters held in front of the lens. She then used the Amiga to combine the three exposures into a single full-color image. From there she manipulated the digitized photograph in PIXmate and Deluxe Paint, and extended the process with her own code written in C.
Proud to have this beautiful work by Caroline in the collection.

Raster just got a lot faster ⚡
The next work in the browse bar now opens in 130ms, down from 500. An artist's collectors tab: 190ms, down from 570.
Real-time recordings, nothing sped up.

Pleased to announce @curaffairs has put in place one of the strictest anti-AI policies in publishing.
Newsrooms across the country are embracing AI writing and laying off writers. Our magazine is doing the opposite, ensuring we remain handmade.

💙 websites websites websites! 💙
@bennavkim and i wrote about putting together www!, the net art exhibition we co-curated with @sofiagarcia_io for @rhizome’s 30th anniversary in nyc.
twenty artists, three decades of browser-based art, and about a year spent figuring out how to lery. we wanted to share some of those conversations: how we chose the works, why we put certain websites on crts and others on ipads, what changed along the way, and how the online and physical shows came together.
really grateful to all the artists for being part of this, to @michael_connor for trusting us with it, to @fellowshiptrust for handling the sale, to @artxcode_io ofc, and to everyone who helped us get the show up and running. there were many people involved, and so much work that you couldn't necessarily see in the exhibition itself. thank you ❤️

She never wanted to take the stairs. She was forced and held down by patriarchy and it’s willing helpers men in the arts.
When people speak of institutional recognition this should be a North Star.
The grande dame didn’t get here by taking an elevator to success- she used the stairs.
And just before reaching the top floor she passed but her legacy live on thanks to visionary curators and writers…
