The current Joe Rogan pod is a must listen if you want to hear the inside scoop of corruption in the White House. @calleymeans bravely discloses how SuperPAC money has corrupted voter intent on health topics across the board, especially pesticides.
“SuperPAC money is the most poisonous, polarizing, and consequential money in American politics”
— Dinner with Prof. Lessig
With just a bit more funding, we can eliminate the corruption of SuperPACs. Please join us: CitizensToEndSuperPACs.org

We need to think, deliberately and seriously, about the only possible means to amending our constitution — the convention. I discussed this on the #NCC podcast with the most prominent convention opponent, David Super: megaphone.link/NCC5068480133

@MarioNawfal Wait so the whole case hangs on a lower court decision and not Citizens United itself? Hmm, that changes how I saw this

🇺🇸 Maine voted 75% to ban superPACs and the case is now one appeals ruling from a shot at the Supreme Court... the lawyer who argued down Trump's tariffs is carrying it
The target is a 2010 lower court decision called SpeechNow, which is what created superPACs two months after at distinction is the whole case.
Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessig says it lets the justices keep Citizens United intact and still kill unlimited money:
"You can say Citizens United was completely correctly decided, but nothing in Citizens United means we have to have superPACs."
Billionaires went from 0.3% of outside money in 2010 to 19% in 2024, and the first Trump voter Lessig met in Maine signed the petition and spent the day signing up every Trump voter who walked past, so if the First Circuit moves fast, 2028 could be the first election without them.

Exactly right. Citizens United is the most misunderstood decision in SCT history. The mistake was SpeechNow. We're in the 1st Circuit to fix it, and end Super PACs. equalcitizens.us/against_superp…
@DarrigoMelanietion is through his super PAC and has nothing to do with Citizens United, which was about people acting through corporations. Individuals have been able to spend unlimited money on independent ads since Buckley v. Valeo (1976), and via super PACs since SpeechNow v. FEC (2010).
