my parents used to say I was so lazy for always sleeping but little do people know, depression carries many forms and one of them is sleep. It’s an escape. Depression is exhausting. Depression doesn’t make you lazy, it makes your mind and body tired

My daughter came home from her second week at a hotel front desk and said, "Dad, I think I'm about to get blamed for something I didn't do." I asked her what happened.
She said a coworker on the evening shift had been leaving forty minutes early every night. Then he'd tell the manager that my daughter had agreed to finish his checkout reports and reconcile his cash drawer.
She hadn't agreed to anything. But she was the newest hire, so she figured staying late without complaint was just part of earning her spot……

Having to fake your period because you don't want to have sex is the worst feeling ever.

When I first started dating my husband, he said, “This is probably a weird thing to notice, but you’re really good at catching things?” I laughed and told him I had no idea what he was talking about. A few weeks later, I brought him to meet my family for the first time. We’d barely stepped inside when my little brother launched a grape at me from across the kitchen. I caught it without even looking. My husband just stood there, completely stunned. My mom looked over and said, “Oh, that’s nothing. She’s been catching things thrown at her since she was a toddler.”

I applied for a job that was honestly WAAAAAY above my experience level. I knew I was reaching, but I figured there was no harm in trying. Got rejected within a few days. Most people would have moved on. Instead, I emailed the recruiter, thanked them for considering me, explained why I was genuinely interested in the company, and asked what I could do to become a stronger candidate down the road. She actually responded...

“A good wife keeps her family together”
My aunt discovered that her husband had been cheating for years. Instead of supporting her, her family told her to forgive him for the sake of her children. They warned her that a broken home would affect the kids. Nobody asked her husband to take responsibility for destroying their marriage. Somehow, the responsibility for keeping the family together fell entirely on the woman who had been betrayed.

normalize not calling women masculine for smoking, weed is a feminine plant and it works better on women anyway

Sam Altman doesn’t think us peasants should have any RAM on our computers while his data centers steal all of our water. We are fast approaching ‘off with their heads’ territory.

NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE STOP GOING TO THE DENTIST…
Got the bill from my son's teeth cleaning this morning. Twenty minutes, no cavities, no x-rays. $280.
I pay $480 a month in premiums. That's $5,760 a year before a single appointment.
Someone explain why I pay for coverage ALL YEAR and then pay again every time I actually walk through the door?
WHERE IS THAT $5,760 GOING? I'll shut up and listen.
