Introducing cmux: the open-source terminal built for coding agents.

- Vertical tabs
- Blue rings around panes that need attention
- Built-in browser
- Based on Ghostty

When Claude Code needs you, the pane glows blue and the sidebar tells you why.

No Electron/Tauri. Just Swift/Appkit.

We open sourced BrowserSkill, a bridge between your agent and your actual browser.

most tools give the agent a blank browser. We let it borrow a tab from yours, then hand it back.

> login state is already there, it just works where you're signed in
> captchas and confirmation dialogs come back to you, then it continues
> it's a CLI, not an MCP server => any agent that can run a shell can use it, and you see every call it makes

one thing that's easy to miss: the agent asks before borrowing a tab, and that switch lives in your browser settings, not in a flag, so it can't be talked around.

one line to install, works with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, Openclaw, CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy. Everything runs locally, MIT.

Introducing Hexclave Deploy: Ship & deploy your whole stack in one prompt.

Just copy this into your agent:

𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚍 𝚑𝚝𝚝𝚙𝚜://𝚜𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕.𝚑𝚎𝚡𝚌𝚕𝚊𝚟𝚎.𝚌𝚘𝚖/𝚍𝚎𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚢𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚍𝚎𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚓𝚎𝚌𝚝

It will automatically create a 𝚑𝚎𝚡𝚌d run the 𝚑𝚎𝚡𝚌𝚕𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚍𝚎𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚢 command to deploy it.

Check it out! hexclave.com

the only companies able to provide true token based billing are labs

everyone else has to quickly bail out to provisioned capacity because they need to plan specifically around your traffic. which means you will be paying a lot more for idle gpus

so if you want to build on open source models like kimi k3 freely and scale up and down you currently cannot

our goal is to become large enough to be the first to offer that product

Hey @lawrencecchen look at github.com/antonellof/git… A git GUI that lives in cmux, rendered as pixels inside kitty-graphics terminals. Not a TUI. It paints an egui interface into an RGBA framebuffer with its own software rasterizer and ships every frame to the terminal. Superfast!

cmux iOS has an interactive simulator pane that streams iOS simulators from your Mac!
With cmux iOS, we want all of your work to be accessible wherever you go, not just your agents.

e.g. Away from home but want to dogfood your agent's iOS app work? No problem. Just open a simulator pane (or ask the agent to do it for you) then voila.

Recently I started to use cmux group workspaces as an orchestrator agent for all the agents/terminals inside the group.

The top level agent uses the cmux cli to communicate via read-text and send-text, and I can also right click any terminal/workspace to copy the surface link space/9DF6A2C5-F932-412F-A987-71EF43CFE4C3/surface/9EAE9C43-16A9-4822-96A5-74623568BE42) to identify the exact terminal.

This is a pretty primitive but useful form of cross-agent communication in cmux!

⌘+Shift+U -> Focus + flash latest unread pane
⌘+Shift+L -> New browser tab
⌘+L -> Focus browser omnibar, else new browser tab
⌘+Shift+Enter -> Maximize pane
⌘+Control+W -> Close workspace
⌘+W -> Close tab

⌘+Shift+M -> Toggle Vim mode (then "gg" to get to top and "shift+g" to get back to bottom"
⌘+Shift+R -> Rename workspace
⌘+R -> Rename tab
⌘+D -> Split right

⌘+Control+= -> Equalize splits
⌘+N -> New workspace
⌘+T -> New tab

What else should we add?

Weekly CMUX love post.

I've started keying my environments to cmux workspaces. soooo nice for debuggability to have all the dashboards + api docs + everything on the env open.

My feature request:

Workspace workspaces. Or something even higher, i want a 2 layer sidebar like slack.

I am not convinced this is a good idea and I am fairly convinced it is a bad idea; i still want it.
