because the iPhone 18 Pro has INSANELY fast display response times compared to the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and Air, it's 2x faster than before
i don't think anyone talked about it though
i've felt the same kind of difference in the past with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro or e response times of the display

It’s not visible properly in the video but why is iPhone 18 Pro more responsive than the 17 in basic tasks 😭

My day 1 impressions of iPhone Duo:
- It’s a beautiful phone from every angle and feels incredibly premium in the hand. It’s what you expect from an Apple product.
- The outside screen takes some getting used to. It can definitely be used one-handed but requires some hand control centre.
- I surprisingly did not feel the Duo being “heavy”. Sure, it could be lighter, but I don’t think this should affect your buying decision.
- The apps you use regularly (messages, phone, maps, safari etc) look and feel wonderful and I can only hope 3rd party apps continue the design language.
- iOS 27.1 has been buggy. The screen sometimes freezes up when folding or unfolding, and editing app layouts on the homescreen has UI bugs in the unfolded state. Apps are also bugged when switching between folded and unfolded states.
- The inside screen is fantastic. I love the matte finish for reading and productivity. A glossy screen would be better for content consumption, but without anything to compare it to you won’t be disappointed by the black levels. The display gets eye-searingly bright, I just love unfolding this thing.
- The cameras are fine. Nothing special, but something I found myself drooling over are the new film photographic styles, all my friends have been begging me to use my phone for photos because of this feature. Try it out.
- Battery life and signal strength have been incredible. This phone will last you well over a day of heavy use as long as you don’t game using the inner screen for multiple hours.
Will share more throughout my ownership. Let me know if you guys would like to know anything in particular about this phone.

This dev bought a MacBook Neo just to make sure his game (Petafab) runs flawlessly on low-end hardware
5% battery in 30m (36.5Wh) means ~3.65W average draw 🤯 (insane even with margins)
And Hitting locked 60fps with large-scale physics & destruction is a technical masterclass

MacBook Neo: Played Petafab for 30 minutes straight. 60 fps locked. No dips. Only 5% battery used. Device stays cool. Feels like magic.
Spent so much time optimizing everything, but the real reason for lag was Steam overlay fence (fixed now).
