Need to watch it again, but You Can See Everything isn’t the movie of the year.

It might be the movie of the decade.

Please yeet yourself into the sun.

Also, support real musicians and artists. But mostly the sun thing.
AI generated music is 1000x better than real music.

Today I canceled Spotify and SiriusXM because I finally tested Suno.

What sold me was the first prompt I gave it:

“My favorite artists are A Day to Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token.

Analyze all their hits and generate a song I’m likely to love based on those artists.”

It one shots an absolute banger in 10 seconds.

I'll link the song in the next tweet for anyone curious.

Why would I ever go back to Spotify/SiriusXM when I can generate music perfectly tailored to my taste on command, for free?

Not affiliated with Suno in any way btw, it was just one of those moments where I was so impressed with AI’s capability I had to say something about it.

I think well rested pilots traveling to their next job are more important than customers
Yet another @AmericanAir uniformed pilot taking a paying customers first class seat. Imagine Apple letting their employees buy new iPhones first. Imagine Best Buy or any retail employees parking right up front and taking customer spots. Very least, don’t have them in uniform.
Community note
American Airlines deadheading pilots receive contractual priority for available first class seats within 24 hours of departure but do not displace passengers with confirmed seats. This follows standard industry practice for crew repositioning and rest.

NEW: Average jet fuel prices in the U.S. just hit $4.90 a gallon, according to the Argus index, surpassing the previous peak set during the early days of the war in Iran in the spring.

Flirting with $5 a gallon ... and the record-highs set back in 2022.

Which means dozens, hundreds, maybe even thousands of people get to take advantage of an awesome deal beforehand because we share knowledge rather than selfishly hoard it.

Badge of honor, if you ask me.

Travel media is increasingly driven by influencers that’ll sell you the moon (read as: credit cards) with flashy business & first class seats … without a word about how hard they are to book.

On today’s @thriftytraveler Podcast, @Gunnarsolson & I ran through a dozen biz class redemptions you can currently rely on. thriftytraveler.com/podcast/ep-85-…

NEW: Delta will NOT raise Medallion Status thresholds for 2027, the airline has confirmed.

Still spendy to earn - and practically requires spending on top SkyMiles cards for many flyers - but refreshing news after United raised spending requirements by $4K for top-tier status.

If LaGuardia is a Temu Changi, what does that make this water feature at O’Hare?

Whatever you think of this idea, I’m at a total loss as to why Kirby is sharing this now.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby tells the New York Times that "wealth inequality has become a danger to our society" and must be addressed.

"We should have a national wealth tax... we should have inheritance taxes that get close to 100 percent at some level. I would pay them."

Nice: Hilton is rolling out "Pay with Points" to cover eligible in-room charges at properties - only with status (Silver and up).

Not nice: Hilton won't share the points-to-dollar value for these redemptions.

Translation: It's (probably) gonna suck.

Asked about future international expansion, Delta CEO Ed Bastian confirms "Singapore is on the roadmap, coming soon" but also adds:

"With high fuel prices ... there's not a lot of growth in the airline industry."

Not sure United or AA - both of whom are adding far more routes next year than Delta - would agree with that.

Speaking to the Economic Club of Minnesota, Delta CEO Ed Bastian was visibly uncomfortable when asked about his "special love with Elon Musk" before saying:

"I have to be careful, because I know there’s reporters in the room."

Bastian went on to repeat that it was mostly a n) thought it should be called Starlink on the planes. I said 'No, it’s gotta be Delta.'”

Bastian also noted two new Viasat satellites went online recently to increase speeds: One over the Americas, another (much-needed) to fill a blackout over the Pacific Ocean.

I'll note: I'm watching this via livestream on Delta's free Wi-Fi with zero issues.

Fares are obviously up.
Airlines raised bag fees within weeks of the start of the war in Iran.

But here's a quieter price you're (probably) paying on flights: Airlines are charging more than ever to avoid basic economy thriftytraveler.com/news/airlines/…

Across the board, major U.S. airlines are now typically charging an additional $100 for a standard economy fare on domestic roundtrips - and sometimes more. Had been $70(ish) for years.

Over to Europe or Asia, the upcharge is now regularly double or even triple that sum.
