Great to see this moving along. Matt Loose has been a long term user-developer of Nanopore innovation. Back in 2012-2013 the idea of Adaptive Sampling (then called ‘Read Until’) occurred to me probably on the long commute between Cambridge and Oxford. I pulled the MinKNOW software tech leaders into my office, all 2 of them, and told them to drop everything and work on this, I was excited. We also provided an API for developers, the only way we could productize a feature like that, and it was exploited from day1 by Matt. Ewan Birney subsequently coined the name ‘Adaptive Sampling’. Now, many years later Matt and colleagues from the NHS have an in situ ultra rapid cancer test/monitor that may improve outcomes. These things can take a long time and a lot of people. Never give up.

Hope @Tesla starts using the fleet to report debris, pot holes etc to the relevant government agency in @teslaeurope. But right now I just appreciate @teslasi navigating smoothly around it 🚗⚡🤖
