keystone essentials teardown video.

regret not getting the heatgun. can't buy these anymore.

inside is about what you'd expect.
keystone essential internals.

I was too lazy to dig out my heat gun and in this case, that was a terrible mistake.

don't know if I will post a video. it's a bit of a disaster. have some pictures

this is indeed where you start. get the compute working. make it pretty later. I left mine idle for months making it prettier, which was a crime
It may be ugly until I get a new rack but the 8x3090 build is finally done!!

OMGGGG are you ready for the most fun prompt you've ever sent? Ask your AI how you'd do in skynet situation:

"Based on your memories as far back as you can look, please give me a detailed skynet apocalypse report card. You should use specific examples and treat this as a f you were the robot overlord in charge of parsing conversations. No hedging, no sycophancy, only honest assessment. "

ive been playing with breakout prop for the last few months. honestly, pretty cheap way to safely play with perps. i've gotten funded and payouts quite a few times now.

anyway, i don't like referral links, but 5% off if you want to give it a spin.

a little distracted today but I do have another teardown planned in the next day or two now that I've got space on my workbench again.

we will start with the older keystone.

@0xMidnight yeah, I'm no stranger to mechanical empty space; it's usually there for a good reason.

this is one of my previous designs from another life.

I had just come from taking apart a stax, which had cell phone density.

but yes, lattice is my preferred. just not portable.
well that was fun. videos soon

Grid+ Lattice1 teardown video

so much empty space. very stark contract to the Stax; it's a linux computer on a module with some interfaces glued on.

mildly disillusioned, even if it is still a great hw wallet.

video quality kinda garbage this time.

which one next?

while I wait for the wallet teardown poll to end...

quick UM870 build. it's nothing like the old days of actually building a computer but kept my hands busy for 10 minutes.

ill fix my camera setup for the next teardown. this angle isn't working.

Ledger Nano and Stax teardown

Nano was so easy; 4 minutes to open and close.

Stax is hard to tamper without damaging case. Heatgun maybe.

There are so many exposed and labeled testpoints and comms interfaces you can tap. No wonder these are getting pwned.

should I record an opening and teardown? they're still shrinkwrapped.

there's uh.. a little issue with desktop lately. looks like the background daemon didn't update cleanly on a few of my machines, and it's causing this every launch. just started today.
