hiii ❤️ <(^-^ <)

my name is kate the cursed! i’m a 24yo glitch artist based in new york!

i use CRT TVs and analog oscilloscopes because i see myself in the grit and imperfections of analog/early digital hardware.

here’s a reel of a lot of the stuff i made from 2020-2022!! <3

should i do a recap thread of the last few years of my practice since i've posted on here? i feel like that would be fun

digital art began as a subversion of military technology. never forget where you come from

hi friends is anyone still thereee ~

hey y'all, my sibling was really rocked by hurricane Helene and they're asking for support. it would mean the world to them and to me if you can spare anything to throw their way. if not, at least give them a follow on IG and maybe make plans for a new tattoo or an art commission

i built this baby amp partially from recycled e-waste for an audioreactive thing i’m building

he’s just a little guy he only takes 1w :)

Thank you to the artists friends who came to see my early works. It means a lot to me to show for the first time studies and works that waited in a Paris basement for 35 years.

Thank you to @katecursed for coming to the opening reception of PRE-TEXT, here with Curator @vinnythesnail

when i plug it in and it works, circuitbending is so fun! but the other 95% of it is breaking my shitty amateur solder joints, getting hit with molten plastic chunks, and screaming expletives

I survived my first circuitbending project!! I turned a video enhancer into a semi-modular glitch box!
