Forge customers: upstream PHP PPAs on Ubuntu have not received the patch yet. At the time of this post, updating your PHP version in Forge will not receive a patched version.

We will post another update when patched versions have landed in the PPA and give green light to patch your servers.

Here's how that same benchmark looks like at 1080p, using pure Mediabunny instead of Remotion. It's not surprising that the web is fast here: both the rendering and the encoding happens fully on the GPU.

I'm not saying this to make fframes look bad, and I appreciate any effort formance.

I am posting it to make this clear: You do not need to go native to achieve incredible video rendering and encoding performance. The web is extremely powerful, and I want people to be aware of that and to make use of it.

I've been a little sad the last couple of days. Mediabunny's first, longest and most loyal sponsor, Gling, stopped their gold sponsorship of Mediabunny this week. Their CTO @yonatanbd left the company, and they're now restructuring their efforts and cutting costs where they can. An understandable move from their part, and it's got nothing to do with me.

I'm deeply grateful for the years of Yonatan's support; he alone was the basically the reason Mediabunny even got started and he supported me through its development for half a year before I released the version to the public. Thanks to his encouragement and financial support (as well as the support of @konstipaulus), I had the courage the quit my job back then and to focus on building cool media stuff for the web full time!

On the financial side, I'd be lying if I said losing a gold sponsor doesn't hurt. It does, a little. I'm still alright though! GitHub Sponsorships are my main way of making a living at the moment. If you or your company have gotten considerable value from Mediabunny, consider a donation! I'm sure your logo would look beautiful on the Mediabunny home page ;)

I'm working on super cool upcoming stuff that I haven't shared yet, and I'd love to keep working on it. People still haven't experienced the true power of web-based media processing!

I made this for Sentry Hackweek. I'll be doing a deep dive soon, but it's a personal recorder that sends my transcripts to a router that determines if the text is a simply a todo, reminder OR if it's work. If it's work, Pi agents get started in it right away, coding or just doing :
ESP32-S3: amzn.to/4zn3SQu
1100mAh Battery: amzn.to/3Uwy0ZL
pi.dev for all agent work
swamp-club.com for deterministic workflows, automations
nurb.dev to help design the case
+ a ton of sandpaper to get it smooth.

Also a adafruit mic on there

I mean they are probably doing something, but the incident updates seem to be somehow automated, because some of them are word for word the same? And it's been two hours and nothing else was posted other than they are continuing to investigate. Not a good look github :(

Got an unofficial typescript client working for my gym. Makes it much easier to get this data then in turn to agents for better analysis!
