Zivilisten. Oder wie Russland es sieht: militärische Hochwertziele
Russian ballistic missiles struck the grounds of a university in Kyiv and the area around it – effectively the campus, Kyoto Park, the area near a metro station, and residential buildings. The exact number of casualties is not yet known. But tragically, there are victims. There cue operations are underway. There is extensive damage, and there are also reports that people may be trapped under the rubble. All emergency services are at the scene and doing their work – saving lives. The missiles hit very crowded areas, and there is not a single military facility nearby. This was a strike directly on the city, on its infrastructure. Unfortunately, there may be more strikes coming. The attack with “shaheds” is also continuing – against Kyiv and our other cities and communities.
And it is precisely under such circumstances, when the threat is constant, when strikes can come at any moment and target cities and villages directly, that artificial delays in providing air defense to Ukraine help terror. It is important that political agreements be implemented promptly at the team level. It is important that our partners understand that Ukraine needs the proper tools to destroy Russian ballistic missile launchers. This would be the most effective way to save lives. It is important that the world sees that Russia is showing nothing but a desire to kill and continue waging war. Ukraine must not be left to face this alone, and it is solely Russia’s fault that the war is still going on and people are still dying. Please take care of yourselves. All partners should stand with Ukraine – with the protection of lives.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 THIS IS PUTIN’S RUSSIA. AND WITKOFF CALLS HIM A HUMANITARIAN. 🇺🇸
Russian forces have been documented executing Ukrainian soldiers after capture, including men who had surrendered or were no longer capable of fighting.
These are not simply accusations exchanged between two d Nations investigators have examined footage, interviewed witnesses and documented repeated executions of Ukrainian prisoners of war. Killing a prisoner who has surrendered is a war crime.
Yet American envoy Steve Witkoff recently sat across from Vladimir Putin and praised him as a humanitarian, thanking him for releasing an American detainee.
That extraordinary compliment deserves to be examined alongside the documented conduct of Russian forces in Ukraine.
Elon Musk’s role in the wider debate over American support for Ukraine has also attracted intense scrutiny. But criticism of Musk’s positions should not be confused with evidence that he personally endorses executions.
The victims of these crimes were human beings. Some had laid down their weapons. Others were wounded or otherwise defenseless. Under international humanitarian law, they were entitled to protection.
No diplomatic compliment, political argument or disagreement over military assistance changes that obligation.
And no prisoner should be executed for the uniform he wears.

Bestimmt. Schwöre! 🎶Russians love their children too🎶

CONCLUSION 🧵(1/2): Putin would have the world, and especially the United States, believe that he is somehow holding back from crushing Ukraine, but that he could do so at any moment of his choosing. The opposite is the case.
If Putin had had a way of ending the war quickly, he it. The effort to field an army large enough to make virtually no gains is costing Putin a fortune, driving up inflation in Russia, and generating increasing social discontent. Fielding a larger army would cost more with no guarantee of materially changing the situation on the front. That is why Putin is holding back at least for now. ⬇️
Putin has likely recognized the folly of trying to drown Ukraine in Russian blood and has instead opted to try to hammer Ukraine into submission with a strategic bombing campaign. The Russians have secured a temporary advantage in the skies over Ukraine through their jet-powered drones and the shortage of Patriot missiles that can intercept their ballistic missiles. But Ukraine is fielding solutions to defend against the jet-powered drones, and it is hardening and decentralizing its infrastructure to survive the ballistic missile strikes (as well as developing its own ballistic missile interceptors, although that effort will take time).
The Russian strikes are currently devastating Ukrainian energy and other infrastructure and imposing a brutal cost on Ukrainian civilians—as Putin intends. But there is no reason to think that this strategic bombing campaign will be any more successful than every other strategic bombing campaign in history—all of which have failed to compel a country holding its own on the battlefield to surrender.

Rubio: What's the problem? All Putin wants is the Donbass. It's just 11% of the country....
Prez: I demand full control over Ukraine and expect their unconditional surrender.
Rubio: See, it's just the Donbass.

It really seems like Elon Musk is pushing everything anti-Ukrainian, anti-Zelenskyy, pro-russian, and pro-putin on X, while quietly suppressing the reach of pro-Ukrainian content.
At least that’s the impression I’ve been getting lately.

3 years ago, Russia 🇷🇺 launched the Avdiivka offensive that slowly turned into the 3rd Donbas 🇺🇦 battle of the full-scale war
3 years later, the Russian offensive is still ongoing, at a much slower pace than before. 2026 was a very difficult year, and Russia failed to keep up in 2024 and 2025, even suffering from 2 counterattacks in Komar and Lyman.
If the Russian offensive on the Donbas was initially centered on the southern and western direction, it moved north, with the main battle ongoing near Dobropilla. You can easily follow the chain of towns from Kurakhove, Pokrovsk and all the way to Barvinkove, behind the Donbas fortress that Russia is attacking.
At the same time, Russian advance on the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia highway was stopped, while the one further south was slowed down.
🟥Russian control before 2024
🔴Territory taken in 2024

🟡Territory taken in 2026
Big ⬜️ line : Donbas administrative border
Small ◽️line : main roads
What the map tells us :
-> Setbacks in 2024 and 2025 were due to multiple factors, including bad unit coordination, absence of fortifications, and a high number of Russian human resources. Since then, most of the issues have been resolved.
-> The "attritional war" narrative that should witness a slow increase of Russian gains until Ukrainian collapse didn't happen. On the contrary, Russia is advancing slower and slower, and Russian losses are increasing.
Every time someone is saying Russia is definitely winning the war, show them this map and ask why the "2nd most powerful army in the world" is struggling that much in Donbas while losing more and more men.
