Apple really missed an opportunity to call it Metacarpophalangeal ID
iPhone Duo pro tip. Touch ID: can be used with the sides of your finger between the Metacarpophalangeal joints and Proximal joints. Super useful to avoid major hand gymnastics.

Great line from the CTO of Proton. I’m paraphrasing and stealing it :

Your job is not to use agents to help you write code. Your job is to lead the agents to help them write code.

the more i build with coding agents, the more i've realized they don't really make mistakes anymore.

basically any bug traces back to me... as in, something i wasn't clear about, or a detail of how it should look or work that i never said out loud

so for anything complex i have the model interview me first. lots of questions, collect whatever context it needs, then build and verify

longer the spec conversation, fewer the surprises. been pretty effective

The real AI psychosis is thinking "this is just another tool" or "it's just a stochastic parrot" and "humans still need to review every line". You gotta snap out of it.

💯
It’s almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone who’s working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now.

The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way.

But what’s happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago you’re likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now.

I’ve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains weren’t wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly weren’t either.

With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. It’s a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didn’t work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.

“Software factory” sounds scary, but this really is all it is.

Beautiful how something so simple can be so powerful
A software factory is basically 2 things:

1. A high-level skill that calls other skills (for example, implement-ticket or fix-bug).

2. It runs automatically when it sees new tickets or errors in a log (instead of being run manually by a human's prompt).

whoa
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

Arc was the first browser that got me to switch from one of the big name browsers.

Real shame to see a product that captured so many be sunset.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.

That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.

Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.

We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:

· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.

Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

This is terrifying.

Mid-conversation, @Muse responded to a request that was not mine.

How did someone else's message get to my agent?

How many of my messages are leaking to other people's agents?

@alexandr_wang this is a trust-losing situation. Can you explain what happened?

Agreed.

I’d never held a foldable until a couple weeks ago.

Played with a Z Fold 8 at a Best Buy and knew immediately I wanted an iPhone Duo.
Update: the Z Fold 8 form factor is incredible. One of the best feeling devices I’ve ever used. Going back to my iPhone feels like going back a generation.

I’m so excited for the Duo.

Someone tell @Jason about @buzzdotxyz
Had to turn off CLAUDE TAG in SLACK... as a usage-based product, it was burning far too many tokens.

Is there a better, more flat-rate solution inside Slack that anyone recommends?

SLACKBOT doesn't work like an agent inside of Slack for some reason... and i just don't like giving my data to frontier labs.

is there a hosted LLM / agent platform we can contain in SLACK yet or do i have to roll my own?

Just had the funniest support experience.

"I can't get [x] to work, can you help?"

"have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?"

"yes"

"if thats the case, I'll need to reach out to a supervisor"

I’m sure this one won’t make anyone angry. (But probably not here.)
