looks like some folks (me included!) got the emergency alert more than once in the U.K. because they switched cell towers and not all towers were configured to broadcast with the same message code
devices use that to dedupe the broadcast message when it’s repeated every min

interestingly it was also broadcast with message identifier 0x111A which means “Severe, Expected, Likely” as opposed to “Immediate” which some folks might hope these were used for…
ultimately they look exactly the same on the device though

a great video for a great feature.
we put a lot of thought into the privacy controls for computer history, letting you control exactly which apps and websites are included.
my favorite fun demo of how well it knows my work: asking it to roast me.

Today we're releasing Computer History in ChatGPT.
It lets ChatGPT learn from everything you do on your computer, so it can better understand how you work, finish tasks that you're in the middle of, and suggest skills and automations based on how you use your computer.

Excited to finally share Record & Replay with the world. Teach Codex a skill just by showing it how you do something on your computer.
Show Codex a workflow once. Reuse it as a skill.
Record & Replay lets you show Codex a recurring task, like filing an expense report or submitting a time-off request.
Codex turns that demo into an inspectable, editable skill.
You control when recording starts and stops.

Another one: today we released Remote Computer Use in Codex!
This means you can use all the apps on your Mac from Codex Mobile, even when your computer is at home and locked.
It's kinda magic.

This is the first time I've ever seen an LLM operate a GUI as fast as a person, and it's surreal.

- It takes a playful path when moving between points
- It wiggles to indicate the model is thinking
- It's color is derived from the portion of the wallpaper thats directly behind it
- the fog around the cursor makes a small cursor easier to see

So excited to share that we're bringing Computer Use to Codex. Computer Use lets Codex see, click, and type into your Mac apps, with its own cursor.
It's a magical feeling to have agents using your apps in the background, and still get to use your computer at the same time.
