Technology should be an "enabler for my real life, not a destination where I spend my life," says @jessbutcher. She believes we've lost perspective and that parents, especially, need to set a better example by putting their phones away during dinner and with their families.

What culpability does social media have for the manosphere?
er, loads. Follow the money. Inifinite scroll platforms are quite simply designed to sate our worst human instincts in a world that worships at the altar of celebrity - so this is inevitably the outcome.
Societal the worst impacts of an addiction economy that mines us all for attention whilst we, in turn, seek simple, binary 'truths' in an overwhelmed world, less and less comfortable with nuance or uncertainty.
It's easier to think that life is a battle between good and bad people than appreciate that the line runs through each and every one of us.
A pretty mammoth topic to cover in 20(!) minutes @MADFESTLONDON tomorrow, but I'm delighted to be sharing the stage with the fabulous @marykeanedawson and Freddie Feltham to attempt to do so - in the process exploring how brands and business can/ should respond to such trends.
Please join us and hit me up if you'll be there and want to talk/ discuss/ disagree with why I think ScrollAware is part of the solution and antidote to all this.
