I’m honestly surprised - but it looks like a Conservative landslide in B.C.

I'm used to incumbent liberal politicians lying.

By now I expect them to frame legitimate discontent as "far right extremism".

But this is just pathetic fear-mongering and pandering.

Unbelievable.

I think this is possibly the most nauseated I've ever been from a political tweet.

What I'm really sick to my back teeth about, is that all legitimate grievances around profligate overspending and self-destructive policies are always framed as right-wing extremism.

Enough with the lunacy.

Just use some common fucking sense for a change.
Don’t open the gates to Conservative cuts, costs and extremists. Tomorrow, every vote counts and I’m asking for yours. Our team will fight every single day for you and your family.

Was not aware. Am not surprised. @woodyatpch is based af.
A privacy-first DNS resolver just chose to leave an entire country rather than lie to its users.

Quad9 is shutting off its free DNS service in France on November 24, after a French court ordered it to block domains that BeIN Sports claimed were facilitating sports piracy.

Quad9 ally refuse to alter or lie to you about the DNS responses you receive in a way that opposes your expectations."

The court had actually reduced the fine to just €1,000 per day. Quad9 still walked away. Because the real problem was not the fine. It was the precedent.

Complying would mean either applying French copyright law to Quad9's global DNS infrastructure, or using geo-blocking methods that Quad9 considers technically unreliable and ethically compromised. Either way, the integrity of the service breaks.

This is what it looks like when a privacy tool takes its mission seriously. Most services would have quietly blocked the domains and moved on. Quad9 chose to exit instead 👏

I feel seen.
New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area.

Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make afer.

"He and the other nice doggies bark whenever a stranger comes into their yard, or even near it.

The stranger doesn’t hear him, but all the other doggies in the pack do. If they live nearby, they get excited. They wake up and get ready to do bad things to that stranger if he their yard.

When a neighbor doggie barks at a stranger, pictures and sounds and smells come into his mind along with the bark.

He suddenly knows what that stranger looks like. What he smells like. How he sounds.

Then, if that stranger should come anywhere near his yard, he will recognize him.

He will help spread the bark along to other nice doggies so that the entire pack can all be prepared to fight the stranger.

Tonight, Semi-Autonomous Guard Unit A-367 is barking.

He is not just passing some other doggie’s bark to the pack.

He is barking because he feels very excited about things that are happening in his yard."

After hearing the @PalmerLuckey WarDog news, I'm going to be re-reading Snow Crash and posting @grok illustrations of key passages as we go.

The future is here. The world has gone full cyberpunk.
