Further from NASCAR on the Larson photo showing him on the yellow line (not below, in their view): If any part of the tire is still on the line, it's not a penalty.

They're saying both tires have to be fully below the yellow line. (I'm just telling you what they said.)

Actually sorry they’re saying it could just be one tire below the line and would violate the rule. But Larson still didn’t have ANY tire below the line at any time, in NASCAR’s view.

Kyle Larson tells the media we all keep getting it wrong the whole Chase every time we declare someone has it, so he's not buying that it's over yet.

Larson: "I'm not getting ahead of myself at all. I'm not going to let you guys get me."

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. admitted on pit road that he never saw Kyle Larson coming. He was focused on the 24 and by the time he realized the 5 was coming, it was too late to try and hold him off.

"They kept running into each other, and I felt like if they could keep running into each OK. I just never would've dreamed the 5 would've had that big of a run."

Stenhouse lauded his team's strategy as well as the extra work they did addressing the transaxle issue that they found in their car after qualifying.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had the right read on his car. Dialed in at the front of the pack and out front off Turn 4

Two things from NASCAR:

1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words)

2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.
