GIVING IT HIS ALL

George Russell arrives in Brazil after an honest Instagram post, admitting 2026 “was not meant to be my year.” He says he’ll be giving his “absolute all” for the rest of the season. Interlagos is where he won his first Grand Prix in 2022.

Wow, this is embarrassing. When a senior software engineer from your own sponsor 'MICROSOFT' has to say he hopes the team realizes they have TWO drivers, you know you've messed up big time!

What's wrong with them?!!
Bradley defending Toto! 😭😭

User: “However, I am somewhat concerned about the wording in “George and the car weren’t best friends this year?” The team blamed his driving style in the first half of the season, then shifted to a deployment issue in the second half. I feel the of investigating the problem or taking accountability.”

Bradley: “You couldn’t be more wrong about the challenges George has faced.
Toto’s wording simply summarises a difficult season, in which George has struggled with unreliability and also - at times - to adapt to the requirements of this generation of car.
Huge amounts of work have gone into this season, to understand problems when they have occurred, and to overcome performance deficits.
And we have done so together, as a team, working to maximise our team points score at every event, as our racing intent calls for us to do.
Not everything has gone right this year but that doesn’t reflect any lack of effort, commitment or determination to hunt down and solve root causes.”

LOUDER.
Wowwww, I opened LinkedIn and even there, people are criticising you. Aren’t you concerned about damaging your brand’s reputation? @MercedesAMGF1

And what exactly is this business of being “best friends” with the car? How can you claim to be best friends with a car?

People need to understand that George leaving and skipping the post-race media was a direct statement to Mercedes.
This has nothing to do with Kimi or the title he knew he had no chance since the Bahrain GP or even before.
Please, it’s not that hard to understand.

The irony is that George’s "fangirls" actually understand this sport and know how to read data way better than other drivers fans.

Darling, wake up. Mercedes is SO lucky to even have him for 2027. They are the ones who should be worried they're literally about to lose him!
📰: Martin Brundle warns George Russell he must find an “overdrive” in 2027 or it’s “game over” at Mercedes. Russell sits fourth, 130 points behind team-mate Kimi Antonelli, who clinched the title in Mexico with four races to spare. Brundle: “It might break George, but I think ked Mercedes for paying a €5,000 fine to keep Russell from post-race media.

TRUE.
📰: Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna congratulated Kimi Antonelli on his World Championship but dismissed suggestions that Ferrari made a mistake by not signing him in 2018 because of his age. Vigna said there was no point rewriting history based on hypothetical scenarios, while n of talent and hard work behind Antonelli’s success. He also stressed that Kimi is not the only driver with those qualities.

So the only errors Russell made were in the Singapore Sprint?! That’s it?! Just 8 points lost?! Okay, now let's talk about the other 122 points he lost because of the team!
🚨| George Russell's Season of Misfortune and Underperformance:

— George Russell's F1 season has been marked by unexpected challenges and inconsistency, contrasting sharply with expectations of a championship win. Despite starting strong with a victory in Melbourne, he has omentum.

— The Mercedes team, led by Toto Wolff, delivered a powerful car, yet Russell's title hopes faded as his teammate secured the championship with several rounds to spare. Russell now finds himself fourth in the standings, trailing behind Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen.

— Astonishingly, Russell has accumulated fewer points than at the same stage last year, despite driving a faster car. Last season, he had 252 points, two more than his current tally, highlighting the impact of bad luck and inconsistency.

— Mechanical issues have plagued Russell, with power unit failures in Montreal and Bahrain, and smaller setbacks in China and Japan. A pit lane penalty in Monaco and a first-lap retirement at Spa-Francorchamps further compounded his woes.

— While bad luck has played a role, Russell has also faced tough competition from Antonelli and made errors, such as in the Singapore sprint. At Monza, he was outperformed by his teammate, who won from P19, showcasing the challenges Russell has faced.

— The 2026 season has not met Russell's expectations, as evidenced by his lower points total compared to last year. Despite the potential of the W17, a combination of misfortune and mistakes has hindered his progress.
