I think this is, at best, very early. Last season was a mess for all kinds of reasons we've already talked to death. There was still a hangover from the BS from the prior year and the roster lacked offensive talent. I don't hang that on Sullivan.
This season, the team looked much improved and then their best and most important player suffered a season-ending injury. They played really well for a while, and a stinker against the Devils, had two tough losses against good teams in Toronto and Ottawa, and then this game against the Kings.
I do hang the Reimer decisions all on Sullivan here, though. I don't think starting him was the right move, but once he did it, yanking him after three goals in the first period just made things worse.
It would be one thing, and I might be closer to this take, if there had been a sense of normalcy about last season and the start to this one. But that just hasn't been the case.

When the Rangers are performing poorly, I know the majority of folks immediately put the blame on Drury, and I get it, but, at some point, we need to talk about Mike Sullivan and his coaching philosophy.
Sullivan is 41-45-10 as the head coach. #NYR

Once again, I will vow to vote for the first candidate who promises to have all government agencies delete their social media accounts

I feel dumber for having read this
Analytics are subjective and this imperfect. It's the same as "old school" scouting. One person's expected goals is not the same as someone else's. The science is in the flesh and blood details. The science is an also art. It's imperfect but it can help you get close to math. I love math--it's spiritual. But, we will never reach math--because math is perfect. Plus/minus IS perfect but it's not art. Same as shots on goal. Noah Kahan's song "Downfall" is perfect art---according to my analytics.

Rangers vs. Senators: Road Weary
Alexis Lafrenière is playing the best hockey of his career, Pavel Dorofeyev finally scored, and help in goal may be on the way from Hartford.

No. It needed—like its superior British processor—a final chapter that was Frank’s downfall. Ending it at this point after season two would have been absurd.
HOUSE OF CARDS should’ve ended with Season 2. Frank becoming President, followed by that final double knock on the Oval Office desk, was the perfect ending. The show had nowhere bigger to go after that, and a tight run might’ve made it an all-time great.
