@huggingface Ehm, the abstract is *already* a summary.

@huggingface A useful abstract summary should preserve the study setting and its main limitation. Linking each takeaway back to the source sentence would make it much easier to check whether compression changed the claim.

@huggingface inkling-small is great for that but open weights alone dont make summaries useful without good prompting

@huggingface This is where harness engineering gets really interesting: the harness stops being static scaffolding and starts learning from its own failure surface.

The model improves globally. The harness can improve locally, against the exact environment it has to survive in.

@huggingfacenkling-Small to transform paper abstracts into concise summaries aligns well with the current trend of using efficient, open-weights models for specialized reasoning tasks. The balance between open science and practical utility is becoming increasingly vital for widespread accessibility. How is the model performing specifically regarding the technical nuances of complex academic terminology?

@huggingface Inkling Small is a great example of AI serving researchers instead of replacing their judgment. Fast summaries are useful when the open weights let people verify and extend the work.

@huggingface This is where open models get really interesting. 🧠📄

Millions of research papers, most of them written for 12 people on Earth to understand.

Now turn that knowledge into something the other 8 billion can actually use. 🤝

@huggingface Open-weight summarization is useful.
The harder problem is still knowing which model/agent produced the output and whether it can be held accountable.

@huggingface Hi @huggingface, I’m experiencing an issue logging into Spaces (e.g. Arena Leaderboard) on Chrome. The modal says "Signed in successfully!", but the UI stays logged out. I've already enabled 3rd-party cookies & cleared cache, but no luck. Any fix for this iframe auth sync bug?

@huggingface Open weights make this kind of workflow especially useful: researchers can inspect the summarization behavior, adapt it to their corpus, and measure where compression loses important scientific nuance.

@huggingface Useful summaries are a great entry point. I’m curious how well it holds up when the abstract leaves out the caveats that matter most.
