Teaching a robot general tasks used to be a team of experienced engineers and lots of expensive hardware. Now it’s just an afternoon and a laptop.
If you can direct a coding agent, you can train a robot.
We built a tutorial with @NVIDIARobotics to show you how: viam.com/resources/trai…

The best kind of Friday afternoon? Getting robots to do things they couldn’t do yesterday.
Open Lab Friday is in full swing. Code, robot arms, repeat.

Language models could only talk. Agent harnesses fixed that for software. Physical AI needs the same layer.
Point those same agents at a robot arm and all of that disappears. Every try moves real hardware near real objects, with nothing bounding it except the agent’s own code.
agent can write. It’s what the layer under it provides.
Viam is the harness for physical AI.
Start building with Viam 101, our free course, and see how it all works: viam.com/education/viam…

At our recent hackathon with South Park Commons (@spc ), teams built projects that proved just how much you can build in a day:
• Pick-and-place applications
• A robot that played chess ♟️
• A chemistry lab pick-and-place workflow
• Teleoperation using hand tracking & game controllers

At Moddable, we believe industry standards can transform software development.
Our latest blog post shows how ECMA-419 simplifies Bluetooth Low Energy development by a couple orders of magnitude and reduces DNS-SD integration to a few lines of JavaScript.

Think building a #robot application is out of reach? Think again.
Viam 101 is our upcoming free course designed to teach you the fundamentals of automation and robotics.
By the end, you’ll be able to build a complete robotic palletizing application entirely in your browser. 👇 (1/3)

This is one of the best parts of my job. It was so much fun to show off all the different projects we have running in the office and answering questions about how they work. 10/10 would do again. 😄
🤖It's the summer of robots! A few weeks ago I requested mini internships for my 7-year old, and it's turned into a series of visits to the most impressive robotics cos in the country. First up: @viamrobotics! We learned a ton about software that powers robots.
