What do you expect from a puppet state with 24 bailouts
Update: Taiwan’s foreign ministry has strongly condemned Pakistan for siding with China in undermining Taiwan’s sovereignty and weaponizing airspace. It says it will coordinate with transport authorities while respecting airlines’ decisions on flight routes based on safety, travel time and costs.

Refining super power
Indian diesel is evidently more precious than AI compute right now.
From the US to Indonesia, top emissaries are flying around the world to lock up supplies from India, the world's 2nd largest diesel exporter.
In response to rising demand, Govt-owned refiners like IOC, HPCL & BPCL will increase diesel production capacity next year by around 16.5 million tons.
Overall refining capacity will go to 300 million tons a year from about 267 million tons currently, before reaching 400 million tons in a few years, India's energy minister said today.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called India a refining superpower while visiting Jamnagar the week before, where the world's largest single location refinery is located.

Are you sure because Gadi Eisenkot is neither pro-left nor pro-China. He is known to be a centrist, security hawk and also known for his "Dahiya Doctrine of using overwhelming, disproportionate force."
If Netanyahu goes out of Power Chinese Supporter Leftist Opposition in Israel will Come to Power and India will lose Critical Ideological Ally in Mediterranean. Pakistan-Türkiye Terror Supporter duo will become more active in the Region. HAMAS will be Revived, Turkiye 🇹🇷 will play a Crucial Role in HAMAS’s Revival because MIT (Turkish Intelligence) is already rehabilitating the HAMAS and Hezbollah. If War completely stops then in 4-5 Years the IRGC will be more Aggressive than before with Completely Changed Strategy and Completely New Doctrine and China’s Thrust for Penetration in West Asia will be more effective.

Russia just lost its price edge in India.

Some Iraqi crude is selling at more than $25 a barrel below Dubai before shipping, traders tell Bloomberg.

Russian barrels are being offered at about a $2 premium.

Russia’s share of India’s crude imports fell to about 35% in September, Kpler says.

The killer is freight.

A Baltic cargo spends weeks at sea.

A Basra cargo spends days.

With tanker rates this high, every extra day on the water eats the discount.

“Due to the increase in freight, we are not getting good offers from Russia,” Bharat Petroleum’s CFO said.

The Gulf sellers smell it.
Aramco sold prompt Khafji at up to $10 under Dubai.

Middle East flows are back near pre-war levels and the producers want their market share back.

what a stupid freaking story.. quote random truckers and build a case how expressways are at risk. Damn
India is building US-style expressways to move freight faster. But many truckers still prefer older roads, where food, repairs and rest stops are cheaper. Aryan Gupta explains what’s putting the country’s $130 billion bet at risk: bloom.bg/4Bn5lr4

spot on
Chinese psy-ops are now being run at industrial on X. The ‘message’ is always the same…

Either that India “can’t” defend its territory, or that even if it does, it is “too expensive,” or “not worth it”…

Mostly crafted with very smart AI use…often with ‘Indian’ names too…

Interesting also how clips of old Ladakh/Sikkim clashes are being re-packaged as if there are current/recent from Arunachal…

Sophisticated or crude, is a matter of how you look at it. But persistent and deliberate for sure…

1. Humble Jamnagar has been dominating headlines, thanks to the visit of US Secretary of State Rubio & Ambassador Gor. There’s been much suspicion, scepticism, even paranoia. This fear comes from all sides. Anti-Americanism and fear of our own private sector are chronic, deep-rooted & instinctive in India. We only undermine our national interest by not shedding it, & by dismissing our entrepreneurs as exploiters. #NationalInterest

2. The key talking point was Rubio & Gor being hosted by the Ambanis. Why are the Americans taking such interest in Indian refining? Why are they asking the Ambanis to buy Venezuelan oil? Why are they calling India a refining superpower & asking us to increase capacities? Or, to sum up, why were Rubio & Gor in Jamnagar & not in Delhi or Bengaluru as visiting dignitaries did in the past?

3. Why are the Ambanis (and India) being forced to buy oil from the most distant point possible (Venezuela) when Russia is so much closer? Of course, it must be arm-twisting to sell Venezuelan oil the US controls, & a ploy to wean us away from Russia to squeeze Putin. None of this passes the most cursory fact-check, but why let that confuse you out of a delicious outrage. India’s crude purchases from Russia haven’t dramatically declined and are unlikely to.

4. What does a nation of our size do when it’s blessed with almost no hydrocarbons? It starts refining at a global scale what others pump out of their soil or seabed. Without refining, crude is nothing. The global refining capacities were not keeping pace with rising energy consumption. India filled that gap. The Ambani foresight also lies in recognising the peculiar Venezuelan heavy crude challenge, & opportunity. If this made India a refining superpower, isn’t that something to be as proud of as tech & outsourcing in Bengaluru?

5. It’s been said often that if Bengaluru were to suffer a catastrophic power or internet outage, a lot of the world would come to a standstill. If that’s leverage, an element in our CNP, why shouldn’t refining be so? India should, if anything, add more refineries, & at scale. Even Reliance should build another Jamnagar, preferably along the eastern seaboard.

6. We undermine our national interest by dismissing our entrepreneurs as exploiters, not builders of India. The only thing wrong with the fact that India has the Ambanis, Tatas, Adanis, Birlas, Jindals & Bhartis is that there are so few of them. India needs some more. India has to learn to celebrate its entrepreneurs. Jamnagar is only a symbol & reminder of what India can become.

The core problem is the absence of a positive vision. For some reason, Congress and @RahulGandhi offer the middle class no compelling narrative on economic growth, job creation or entrepreneurship. Their hard-left politics too often starts and ends at criticizing the government’s policies (rightfully so), but voters need a credible tangible solution.

Modi won 2014, not because people hated Gandhis, but because he offered "acche din and pro-jobs visions." Of course, he promised skies and has fallen short. But the takeaway is that he had a positive vision when voters had grown tired of Congress. So it clicked.

Rahul, by contrast, lacks one in a big way. If he wants a lasting impact on the middle class, he needs something like a “Bharat Entrepreneur Yatra” – a message built around democratizing entrepreneurship, opportunity, jobs and enterprise.

Perennial street protests won't click in a 1.40 billion country with aspirational middle class. Even the so-called Communist China practices State Capitalism, why?
There are so many things that are wrong with the BJP. So many. But there is not a single thing that is right with the Congress. Not a single thing.
