On a shared ledger, the privacy layer is the one piece of software every participant depends on and none of them controls. Market infrastructures, banks, payment networks and asset managers other all rely on it, and supervisors rely on it for oversight.

A closed layer asks all of them to take it on trust. An open one lets each of them read it, test it and run it for themselves.

Open code is half of the answer. The other half is where it lives. Networks built today will run for decades, and the layer that protects them canโ€™t depend on one companyโ€™s roadmap, including ours.

LF Decentralized Trust gives it a neutral home with open governance, where the institutions and builders who depend on it can shape it together.

The layer that makes a shared ledger usable for regulated finance. It sits in front of every node on a permissioned EVM network, and every request passes through identity and policy before any data comes back.

- Access control by down to individual function parameters

- Isolation between participants by default, traced at runtime so it canโ€™t be bypassed

- Regulator and auditor access on the record: reasoned, consented, time-limited, logged

- ZK credentials, enterprise SSO, Travel Rule and sanctions checks, tamper-evident audit

- No changes to the chain

Today in New York, @lfdecentralized brings financial institutions and builders together for an invite-only workshop on a single subject: privacy for financial services.

Over two days, hosted by @MorganStanley and @Citi, the agenda moves from the privacy stacks institutions are in wholesale CBDC, to the views of the payment networks, asset managers, custodians, market infrastructures and banks that will have to run whatever comes next.

On day two, Gateway's co-founder and CTPO, Igor @mandrigin, joins the Privacy Buildersโ€™ Panel alongside The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and the @SolanaFndn , with @the_matter_labs, Applied Blockchain and @silencelabs_sl.

Each comes at privacy from a different starting point. The shared question is what it takes for a regulated institution to operate it: confidentiality between participants, a defined view for supervisors, and settlement that still works across networks.

Igor brings the approach behind Open Privacy Suite: open-source privacy, layered onto the EVM stack institutions already run.

@pradeep_rvsingh and Igor are in the room for both days. Thank you to LF Decentralized Trust, Morgan Stanley and Citi for hosting. ๐Ÿ’œ

Next week, Gateway is in New York. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Our Co-founder & CEO @pradeep_rvsingh and Co-founder & CTPO Igor @mandrigin will both be at the @lfdecentralized Privacy for Financial Services Workshop, 22โ€“23 October, hosted by Morgan Stanley and Citi.

Banks and market infrastructures are movibut none of them will put positions, counterparties or client data where every other participant can read them. Supervisors and auditors still need a view they can rely on, scoped to what theyโ€™re entitled to see. This workshop brings together the institutions setting those requirements and the teams building the infrastructure to meet them.

Itโ€™s a problem both of our founders have seen from each side.

Pradeep started his career at Citi and UniCredit before building Nethermind, and now leads Gatewayโ€™s work with banks and market infrastructures. Igor Mandrigin leads Gatewayโ€™s product and technology, including the design of our Open Privacy Suite.

Igor is also speaking on the Privacy Buildersโ€™ Panel. More on that in our next post.

8/ Thatโ€™s why the article frames Open Privacy Suite around the Swiss cheese model. Every layer has holes, and failures happen when the holes line up. So the layers are built to fail in different ways:

A privacy-native platform means new contracts, new tools and usually a new cryptographic assumption.

Next week, our co-founder and CTPO @mandrigin will be at Istanbul Fintech Week @istfintechweek (5โ€“7 October, Hilton ฤฐstanbul Maslak).

This year's theme is "Smart, Embedded, and Tokenized". The programme runs from payments and AI in finance to digital banking and a full day on ation and stablecoins.

Those are the questions many institutions in Tรผrkiye and the wider region are now working through: how to put deposits, payments and assets onchain while keeping regulatory control and customer privacy.

If you are building tokenized products, cross-border payment flows, or controls for shared networks, and you'll be in Istanbul, DM @mandrigin to book a slot.

He's keen to compare notes. ๐Ÿ™

If an AI agent can reach your systems before it can prove who authorised it, automation has outrun control.

The hard problem is no longer tool access. It is identity, delegated authority and verifiable execution.

Gateway has been working on this problem at the infrastructure level.

A network can have strong privacy, execution and governance guarantees. But if moving value in or out still depends on centralized venues, custodians or wrapped-token assumptions, y disappears at the boundary.

Gateway is contributing to the LEZ Atomic Swap Suite for the @Logos_network, building trust-minimized atomic swap infrastructure between the Logos Execution Zone and Bitcoin and other assets.

The work goes beyond connecting two networks. It is about private interoperability in practice: designing how value moves across independently governed systems while minimizing intermediaries, preserving privacy and making the resulting infrastructure usable by builders.

For Gateway, this sits directly within a broader thesis we are building around: sovereign onchain systems will need interoperability that preserves the guarantees of the systems being connected.

This is the shift institutional onchain finance has to solve next.

It is not enough for networks to connect. They need to connect with controls: selective disclosure, permissioned visibility, auditability, and clear rules for what moves, what is proven, and what remains private.
vity moves across public, private, and sovereign networks, interoperability cannot be treated as a bridge problem alone.

It becomes a privacy architecture problem.

The next generation of financial infrastructure will be defined by how safely, selectively, and reliably value, data, and proofs can move between them.

This partnership is a e regional infrastructure, ecosystem engagement, and institutional pathways needed to move onchain finance from interest to execution and focused on practical execution: institutional use-case exploration, technical workshops, joint research, ecosystem engagement, events, and co-GTM initiatives.

What makes this important is the timing.

Institutional adoption is no longer just about introducing blockchain technology into a region. It is about helping institutions understand where onchain infrastructure can solve real financial, operational, and compliance problems and then creating the right pathway from research to pilots, integrations, and production.

Malaysia, Southeast Asia and Central Asia are becoming increasingly important markets for this next phase.

Excited to see Gateway and @TeizaProtocol begin this collaboration and build toward deeper institutional engagement across the region.

Japan moves crypto into the financial-asset regime ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

Japanโ€™s decision to classify crypto as a financial asset marks a significant shift in how digital assets are being absorbed into traditional financial-market regulation. The change brings crypto closer to the same regulatory ncial instruments, including stricter treatment of insider trading and unregistered activity.

The broader signal is clear: as digital assets move deeper into regulated finance, the infrastructure around them will need to meet higher standards for governance, surveillance, disclosure and institutional control.

Japan is another market showing that the next phase of onchain finance will be shaped not only by adoption, but by how effectively digital assets integrate into existing financial systems.

Gateway and @eth_systems are collaborating to advance private, sovereign onchain finance for institutions.

There is a reason this matters now.

Institutions have already found digital asset as an asset class and are already looking at public rails for stablecoins, tokenized lateral, and other financial workflows. But serious financial activity cannot operate in full public view.

Positions, counterparties, transaction flows, access rules, and internal business logic require confidential infrastructure.

That is where the next institutional layer of Ethereum begins.

Privacy is becoming a core infrastructure requirement for regulated onchain finance.

alongside leaders from Silence Laboratories, Alastria, Zeeve, and @lfdecentralizedtrust.

As financial institutions move onchain, privacy can no longer be treated as an optional feature. It needs to work alongside compliance, auditability, interoperability, and production-grade infrastructure.

That is the conversation we are looking forward to contributing.

The most important tokenization opportunities are not novelty assets.

They are the financial assets already moving through markets every day: money market funds, private credit, tokenized deposits, treasuries, settlement assets, and collateral.

These assets matter because they t inside payment flows, treasury operations, lending, collateral management, settlement, and liquidity movement.

That is where tokenization becomes more than digital ownership.

A tokenized money market fund can earn yield, move through financial workflows, support collateral use cases, and settle inside onchain market infrastructure.

This is the real shift.

Tokenization is not only about putting assets onchain.

It is about making the financial system itself more programmable.

There is a simple way to tell whether onchain finance is becoming real: look at where boring money goes.

Tokenized U.S. Treasuries have grown from under $1 billion in early 2024 to roughly $15 billion in on-chain value. That is still small compared with the overall Treasury on is hard to ignore.

Treasuries are among the most conservative instruments in finance. When they start moving onchain at this pace, it is an early sign of treasury infrastructure moving onto new rails, because settlement can be faster, ownership can move more easily, and the asset can become usable across regulated financial products once it is there.

This is the layer we build for: regulated, yield-bearing, institution-grade products that happen to run onchain.

Banks struggle to launch onchain products because there is no operating system for it.

Every traditional banking product runs on a core system that ties accounts, ledgers, compliance and settlement together. For stablecoins, tokenized assets and yield products, no equivalent duct becomes a custom integration project across custody, compliance, settlement and partners.

Gateway is the financial operating system for the onchain economy.

On top of it, an institution can bring assets onchain, move capital across borders and generate yield while keeping the full economics. The integration work is already done.

The result is what core systems did for traditional banking: launch multiple products in weeks instead of months, on infrastructure you own, keeping the value you create.

The 2026 regulatory environment for institutional on-chain operations has shifted. EU Transfer of Funds Regulation is now zero-threshold across every CASP-to-CASP transfer. Blockchain privacy isn't an on/off switch. If you hide the entire state, regulators will block you. If you expose it, competitors will front-run you.

The Open Privacy Suite handles this tension with three levels of selective disclosure: Full (Real addresses for regulators), t aliases for counterparties) and Hidden (no visible data for competitors and unrelated parties).

Grants are time-limited, auto-expire, and enforce multi-jurisdiction policies from a single deployment. Same chain, different views depending on who is looking.

If your compliance team is relying on manual reconciliation for on-chain transactions, you have a massive exposure gap. Compliance cannot be a post-execution process. It must be enforced at the proxy layer, before anything hits the network. The Open Privacy Suite enforces this ps://t.co/W6sqwbgDuQ

Oracle costs can consume up to 50% of protocol revenue for many DeFi applications, yet this budget line often scales aggressively without notice. In the current market, every hour your team spends configuring infrastructure is an hour they arenโ€™t shipping features. Most networks launch with a fragmented stack, separate vendors for indexers and oracle, creating a "fragmentation tax" that slows down developer onboarding and omplexity. Gateway provides a protocol-native data layer that deploys in 72 hours, allowing you to consolidate your stack and focus your resources on what really matters: your product.

This fragmentation isn't just bad for developers, itโ€™s an expensive tax on your protocolโ€™s runway. Our unified Indexer + Oracle bundle cuts your infrastructure overhead by 30-60%.

When institutions ask about on-chain infrastructure, the first question is:ย who can see their data? By default, the answer is everyone.

Institutions going on-chain need to control who sees what on their blockchain.

The Open Privacy Suite is an open, vendor-lock-in-free privacy infrastructure for any EVM chain. It gives institutions granular control over visibility through ZK-proof authentication, hierarchical ctive disclosure, and compliance tooling, all running through a single proxy layer.

Works with any EVM client. Deploys on private or public chains. Standard JSON-RPC. No proprietary protocols. No vendor lock-in.

European Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs) are increasingly adopting stablecoin payment rails, but face a significant infrastructure gap.

Internal development of compliant on-chain systems often requires upwards of $5M in capital and 12 to 18 months of engineering, ational and DORA compliance risks. Gateway is engineered to resolve this friction.

As an enterprise-grade infrastructure stack, it provides EMIs, banks, and fintechs with a unified environment to launch, manage, and operate sovereign stablecoins, fully white-labeled under your existing licenses.

The Gateway infrastructure delivers:

1. End-to-End Architecture: Pre-integrated smart contracts (ERC-20/3009), compliance registries, and seamless liquidity and settlement layers.

2. Operational Control: A comprehensive operator dashboard featuring role-based access, multi-signature mint controls, and B2B payment management.

3. Yield Optimization: A non-custodial yield engine (Gateway Yield) designed to safely deploy excess corporate capital into risk-adjusted index products, fully respecting EMD2 constraints.

4. Institutional Security: A PwC-audited, MiCA-ready architecture built by a core development team with deep Ethereum infrastructure experience.

Financial institutions no longer need to assume the burden of custom blockchain development. Deploy a parallel, audited financial infrastructure in 4 to 6 weeks, and maintain focus on core financial operations.

The cost of waiting is measured in lost clients.

While traditional institutions evaluate, their clients are already moving to platforms with better products and faster rails.

The market is shifting fast. Stablecoin adoption is accelerating across treasury and cross-border s built on digital asset rails are pulling deposits from traditional savings accounts. Regulatory frameworks are live across major markets. Institutional involvement in digital assets has moved well past the experimental phase.

Fintechs built on modern infrastructure are launching digital asset and yield products that traditional institutions have yet to offer. They are capturing clients because they can offer what others currently cannot.

Every quarter spent evaluating is a quarter where clients find what they need somewhere else. Deposits are moving to institutions that already have the infrastructure in place.

The good part is that institutions don't need to build this infrastructure from scratch. Gateway's financial operating system lets them launch stablecoin, payments, and yield products in weeks while keeping their brand, their data, and their economics.

The infrastructure is ready. The frameworks are live. The only cost left is waiting.

Privacy without compliance is unusable for regulated institutions. Compliance without privacy makes on-chain finance impractical for competitive business operations.

Institutions need both and they need them working together at the infrastructure level. Transactions that are regulators to audit but private enough that business-sensitive information doesn't sit on a public ledger for competitors to see.

Getting this balance wrong in either direction creates problems. Too much transparency and institutions won't bring sensitive capital flows on-chain. Too much privacy and regulators can't do their job which means the products never get approved.

This is why privacy and compliance can't be treated as separate features bolted on at different stages. They need to be designed together into how the infrastructure actually works. Audit trails and transaction traceability and regulatory reporting built into the same system that handles privacy at the transaction level.

At Gateway, we build them into the same architecture from day one. That means an institution can execute a transaction privately while still allowing a regulator (or authorized counterparty) to verify it when required, without exposing that data to the public or competitors.

Institutions don't need to rebuild their core to go on-chain.

What they need is a translation layer that connects their existing infrastructure to on-chain settlement so that everything they already run continues to function normally while gaining access to modern rails that translation layer. The core stays. The capabilities grow.

Banks struggle with on-chain products because there is no operating system for it.

Traditional banking products all run on a core system that ties everything together. But when it comes to digital assets and yield products nothing equivalent exists.

Gateway is a financial e on-chain economy.

With this operating system, institutions can bring assets on-chain, move capital globally, and generate yield while owning the full economics.

Now institutions can launch multiple financial products in weeks, not months, while owning their infrastructure and retaining the economics they generate.

Vendor stacks split your economics. Long deployments kill momentum. And every new product means a new integration.

We built a single platform where institutions own their infrastructure, launch ucts in weeks, not months, and keep the yield they generate.

One platform. Five layers. Every product you need to run on-chain finance end to end.
