Out today, the story of the replacement and evolution of SARS-CoV-2 lineages during the first 3 years of the UK epidemic - as told through the eyes of the ONS Covid Infection Survey. An extraordinary amount of work went into this - thank you everyone.

They are then abruptly cleared after one to three months, perhaps as a result of a new colonisation by another sensitive strain. Coexistence over several months of sensitive and a sizable resistant subpopulation is intriguing--it would be important to clarify the mechanism.
