Our @fmgilbert 4th graders had a hauntingly good time reading There’s a Ghost in This House! 👻 Inspired by the illustrations, they layered tracing paper over their pictures to create their own ghostly scenes! 🎨📚 @IrvingLibraries

@fmgilbert Kinder had a blast learning all about the State Fair of Texas! 🎟️ They put their creativity to work designing and constructing their very own fair games and rides! Roller coasters and haunted houses were definitely the crowd favorites! @IrvingLibraries

🐻🐰🎡 @fmgilbert First graders read The Bear, the Hare and the Fair today, then brought the story to life with a little coding fun! Students coded their Bee-Bots to travel around the fair and stop at all the rides! 🎢🎟️ @IrvingLibraries

@fmgilbert 1st graders read Menudo Sunday and explored the family traditions that bring us together! 🥣❤️ They crafted their own bowls of menudo filled with love, family, culture, and cherished memories! 📚✨ #HispanicHeritageMonth @IrvingISD @IrvingLibraries

The 1st Six Weeks in the @fmgilbert Grizzly Library were BUSY! Students were reading, creating, coding, building & exploring through Beanstack, Sora, Sphero Indi, LEGO SPIKE, STEM challenges & more! We’re building readers, creators & problem-solvers! ❤️ @IrvingLibraries

🎶 ¡Azúcar! 🎶 @fmgilbert Students learned about Celia Cruz and her contributions to salsa music! 💃🏽🎺 Then they explored the science of sound by creating their own harmonicas and learning how vibrations make sound. A perfect mix of music, culture, and STEM! ❤️ @IrvingLibraries

Inquiry-based learning in action! 🔎Today, our 2nd grade students explored the amazing world of axolotls using @LightboxEdu! They discovered some fascinating facts—and the best part? Each student went home with their very own axolotl “pet”! 🦎🩷 @IrvingLibraries
