The recent election will bring lots of change, but one thing remains constant: The urgent need for Congress to take action on child care.
There’s broad support – and the next Congress has a unique opportunity to provide much-needed relief to families.

Thank you @RepHoulahan and @MilitaryTimes for highlighting how the child care crisis uniquely affects military families across the country.
I gave birth to my first daughter when I was in uniform, and the excitement of growing our young family was soon tempered with concerns about childcare.
That was more than 30 years ago and new parents are still forced to step away from their careers because of long wait times for on-base childcare centers and a lack of childcare workers to fill staffing needs.
As the Ranking Member of the Military Personnel Subcommittee, I have worked across the aisle to support servicemembers and their spouses. I will continue pushing for solutions for working parents and families.
