a lot of people’s masks really fall off when you tell them that they’re not qualified to diagnose their exes and former friends with personality disorders and they are actually responsible for setting healthy boundaries in their relationships and regulating their own emotions. A lot of unhealthy people out there pretending to be the healthy one and pathologizing other people for being imperfect and having emotions/struggles/mood fluctuations

one thing you have to understand about the people who want to discourse online all day about how toxic people with “BPD” are is that they are ultimately all the things they accuse you of being: thinskinned, self-centered, emotionally volatile. your vulnerability triggers them. relationships with anyone who treats the emotional needs of others this way. they literally think that anyone expecting even a drop of introspection and ownership of their own emotions is some kind of nefarious manipulation. lol
