From our largest to our smallest communities we will remember them.

NatureScot can now amend the area to which a grouse licence applies to.
We urged the Scottish Government to rethink these plans.
And questioned how this would impact land management.
The SNP must now ensure this doesn’t disproportionately impact those working on land.

This poll displays the huge importance our fishing sector has.
Sadly UK trade deals and reckless SNP plans have failed Scottish fishing.
Fishermen must be compensated if affected by spatial squeeze.
And policy must protect livelihoods, the rural economy and food security.

I was delighted to sponsor @DandGCollege's Parliamentary Event last week.
The college is a vital engine for skills, economic growth and community wellbeing across Dumfries and Galloway, generating an impressive £12 in economic and wellbeing benefits for every £1 of public ries and Galloway College continues to prove that a rural postcode should never limit ambition or opportunity, and I look forward to seeing its continued success in supporting students, employers and communities throughout the region.

@Today we were at Holyrood in Edinburgh for the Scotland launch of the RHA Wellbeing Charter, bringing together MSPs and members for a roundtable and drop-in session on supporting the people who keep road transport moving.
Building on our launches in London in July and Northern session explored how businesses can put wellbeing into practice.
The session included:
• Richard Smith launching the Charter in Scotland and setting out our ambition for long-term improvement across the industry.
• Scott McIntyre discussing practical ways to look after staff and support their wellbeing.
• Kate Walker covering diabetes, the work already underway in Scotland and how it connects with the Charter.
Bringing operators and policymakers together gives us an opportunity to discuss the pressures people face and the practical support that can make a difference.
The Charter supports everyone who keeps road transport moving – drivers, technicians, planners, office teams and business leaders.
Built around six pillars – learning and development, mental wellbeing, leadership and resilience, connecting with others, exercise, and food and nutrition – the Charter aims to deliver one million moments of improvement over ten years.
More than 3,800 have already signed up. We’re encouraging more businesses and colleagues to join them and turn that commitment into practical action.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Holyrood today. Our Wales launch follows on 2 December as we continue building support across all four nations.

Five weeks ago, the most serious riot in a Scottish prison in a decade occurred, and the Government kept it a secret.
The riot involved 30 inmates and required officers from four other prisons to restore order.
There was significant damage caused, and multiple prison officers t.
Yet, it was only because of the BBC that MSPs found out.
Today I questioned the Cabinet Secretary on why the Government withheld this information from MSPs.

It was brilliant to welcome @RussellFindlay1 to Galloway and showcase some of our fantastic rural businesses.
We toured the factory at West Coast Sea Products, met with business leaders @LagganLife and visited Rowan Glen to hear more about their exciting plans for the future.
esent an area with such a strong range of local businesses and to have the opportunity to highlight the hard work they do and the vital contribution they make to our local economy and communities. Supporting and protecting our rural businesses will always be a priority for me.
