BIGGIE'S $12.5 MILLION RULING
A Delaware judge ruled that $12,518,336 in distributions are due to Biggie's mother's trust.
The defendants argued it was owed just $48,612.
Same company. Two radically different interpretations of what the trust is owed.
I read the court urprised me:
Biggie's legacy company has two 50% owners. Distributions are allocated four ways. And management control is a separate legal right.
Separately, trademark records show the company assigned an undivided 50% interest in seven of its marks to a Primary Wave affiliate.
Owning the company ≠ controlling the company ≠ receiving its cash.
The documents reveal how a music legacy is actually structured.

BINANCE: $6.3 BILLION. NO EVIDENCE OF STOLEN PRIVATE KEYS.
That's what makes this story extraordinary.
My team independently verified 50 Ethereum authorizations pointing to an attacker-deployed contract.
Minutes later, assets moved.
The exact execution path isn't fully ence raises a much bigger question:
What if the next financial catastrophe doesn't require stealing the keys?
Just compromising the authority to use them.

Slim Thug offered to PAY his record label to let him leave.
Not the other way around.
In 2008, he told MTV he'd offered money from his next album to get out of his deal.
Eight years after that independent album came out, he said it was still paying his bills.
So I pulled the discovered why owning the music and collecting the money aren't necessarily the same thing.

Just pulled this classic off the shelf….
It’s one that all the paid for bots, and “value investors” who drive their cars only while looking out their backseat windows, and most of Wall Street haven’t read… and why they missed CVNA at $15 and OPEN at 73 cents… IREN at $9… ents… NXDR at $1.70… DAVE at $165… PTON at $3.80… GLOB at $41… they don’t all work out of course… but you have to always think different than the bots 🤖

Thank you Mel Carter for the response. This is a great story. The idea came from the comments. It’s a great story. Some people call me a culture vulture and clout chaser, but if I get a nice comment like this from Mel Carter, that’s good enough for me.

The headline math: 32 Bojangles.
The 2022 release actually said 18 acquired + 14 to be developed in Greater Atlanta.
As of Oct 26, I could publicly trace 23. None of the higher-numbered stores is in metro Atlanta.
No closures alleged. Just the gap between announced and e is not the balance sheet. 🧵👇

Rick Ross said Rozay stopped counting his Wingstops.
So I counted them.
After 50 Cent shared my research, I kept digging.
The filings show 13 restaurants listed under Boss Wings companies at the end of 2022.
One year later: just ONE.
And nine stores appeared under a Who sold them? The public records I found don't say.
New investigation. Receipts included.

Rap-A-Lot turned 40 in 2026 as one of hip-hop's best-known independence stories.
On September 26, 1994, the Copyright Office recorded 2 documents from "Rap-a-Lot Records, Inc." to "Noo Trybe Records, Inc." The note on both: "Transfer of copyright." Both list all 12 songs on carface Is Back. The index doesn't show which rights they covered.
A 2003 registration's author line reads: "Rap-A-Lot Records, a division of Noo Trybe Records, Inc."
Scarface's 2021 termination notice gives those 12 songs a date of October 4, 2026. Whether anything moved, the public record doesn't show yet.

Rick Ross’s family’s Wingstop operation is facing new scrutiny.
Investor Eric Jackson says Wingstop’s state filings listed 21 open restaurants under the family’s Boss Wings companies at the end of 2016, compared with just one in Clarksdale, Mississippi, at the end of 2025.
re numbers associated with those companies over time and says 28 are now listed under other franchisees.

In 2024, Jay-Z said it would be "selfish" to pick himself for the Super Bowl too early.
Now Puck reports he's picked himself for 2027.
But the bigger story isn't the halftime show.
It's how Jay-Z went from performer to gatekeeper of music's biggest stage — and what happens ts the stage.
I went back to the original tape and the documents. Here's what I found:
Should a gatekeeper be allowed to choose himself? Tell me where you land.

Drake's being sued over "Janice STFU."
Here's what caught my eye. The plaintiff says he set out to reimagine Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers." But all 3 writers of that song are already listed as writers of Drake's song.
The real fight is over what he added, and whether Drake's e song was made.
I read the federal complaint. New video.

50 Cent's company leased a city-owned film studio in Shreveport for $200 a month.
The 2024 lease is 37 pages. With notice by November 1, his company can walk away at the end of any year, with no liability to the city for leaving. If the city ever wants to accept an offer for the ets first refusal, usable from late 2032 while a federal mortgage remains. G-Unit pays the running costs.
In May, the city council voted to extend the lease to 99 years. I haven't seen the amendment's terms. Starz canceled BMF.

Montell Jordan's "Daddy's Home" (1995) got sampled on Drake's "Papi's Home" (2021). He says it pulled his Def Jam debut into the black after 28 years.
Then, in March, he served a termination notice on 206 titles. Copyright Office V10003D979, addressed to Sony/ATV, Def Jam/UMG -album dates: April 2030.
"This Is How We Do It" is listed as the song AND the recording.

Drake's "Solar Eclipse" isn't just a borrowed country hook. He rewrote the point of view.
Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas": her man picks Texas and leaves.
Drake keeps "She's from Texas, I can tell." Keeps "It doesn't take a crystal ball to see." Then: "A cowgirl ends up riding w the one who gets left.
And the word "choosin'" never appears in his version.
Plus: "You still can't name me one man that I should get overlooked for." Three days after it hit streaming, Billboard reported, citing sources, that he didn't submit his 2026 albums for the Grammys. (The link is my read.)

I watched all 8 hours of JAŸ-Z IN 8.
What I didn't like: six episodes at a table, and nothing on who owns any of it.
What I liked: episode 7. Betrayal, therapy, "yes, but no malice," the album he'd redo. Episode 8's depth on 4:44.
What it teaches: by Jay's own theory, , and his comfort is privacy.
And where he goes from here: not the Roots Picnic freestyle. Episode 7.

One bar on Drake's "Quebec" sounds like a joke about a car: "Phantom at the crib, it must be haunted in here."
Drake once rented a Phantom for $5,000 a month to look successful before he was, and drove it "to Montreal for my first show ever." His manager later gave him that same one Phantom, so the link is my read.
Then "Two-one-three, add that up": 213 is LA, it adds to 6, Toronto, and "twist the 6ix" takes you back to his 2016 song "9."
Then Ibiza in one bar, and amnesia in the next. Amnesia is an Ibiza club, and it's what a night there does to you.

Jay-Z got paid. But what happened to the companies on the other side of his deals?
Block paid $237.3 million for a majority of Tidal. It subsequently recorded $266.1 million in Tidal-related impairment charges.
That's just ONE of the deals I investigated.
I went through the nd something bigger: How did Jay-Z become so good at deciding who carries the risk after he gets paid?
The answer surprised me.

Drake's "Cold Shoulder" has a line I can't stop thinking about: "History repeats itself, but I don't."
The song puts him back inside situations he's written before, from the other side.
Hotline Bling (2015): he left, she went out more, he judged from a distance.
Cold Shoulder out every weekend of the summer, and he's the one losing his mind.
Marvin's Room (2011): "you could do better." Cold Shoulder: "then why don't you?" Two lines after he says he doesn't repeat.
And the pride run: on her sleeve, on her face, then a parade. An emotion made public in three lines.
He can have Canada's Wonderland all to himself. He can't make the person he wants show up.

A well-known music industry lawyer asked me: Has Jay-Z ever made any of his partners money?
He has made money himself. So I read what his counterparties filed.
Block booked $237.3M for TIDAL. It has recognized $266.1M of impairments.
Iconix paid $204M for Rocawear, then was Nation handed back exactly half its stake in The Parent Company.
None of that proves Jay-Z caused those outcomes. Iconix had dozens of brands and its own problems, the California cannabis market collapsed industry-wide, and Block cited its own strategic changes.
Most of Jay-Z’s businesses are private and file nothing, so this is only the part others were required to disclose.

For more than 30 years, people have argued about how much of Guns N' Roses Axl Rose actually owns or controls.
So I pulled the band's federal court filings.
In July, GNR's lawyers described the band as "a California partnership" whose partners "include":
Axl Rose.
Duff found a sworn declaration from a member of GNR's management saying the band has "multiple partners."
And elsewhere in the SAME lawsuit, former manager Alan Niven claims Axl receives 50% of the band's income.
Important: that 50% claim is an allegation.
It is NOT a court finding.
It is NOT an admission by Guns N' Roses.
I have NOT found an accounting establishing it.
So I went through the paperwork to separate what we can actually prove from what people have argued about for decades.

I watched 6 episodes of the Jay-Z documentary. About 7 hours.
Songs spanning 1996 to 2021.
And through all of it, nobody explains what one of the major deals actually was.
Roc-A-Fella. Def Jam. Rocawear. Roc Nation. Tidal. The NFL.
The best part is Jay’s Kanye impression — mpliment.
But I also pulled a Copyright Office record connected to Reasonable Doubt that I think is much more interesting.

The filing does not identify that investor.
The paperwork shows the transition before and after his final game.
