First trailer for ‘THE MASTER AND MARGARITA’.
• Russian officials wanted to ban the film in 2024 amid the invasion of Ukraine and deemed its themes of censorship too dangerous.
• It still became the highest-grossing 18+ release in Russian history.
• Based on Mikhail tirical novel, the film follows a writer in 1930s Moscow, who after being censored, writes a new novel in which the Devil appears to wreak havoc on those who have wronged him.
Releasing in the US on September 18.
